Any Hockey Players?

Just curious. Me and some friends are joining a local adult rec hockey league...just wondering if any fellow taco owners play.

 

Been skating since I could walk. Play in a rec league here with a bunch of guys at work.I also coach my son's IP (5-6yo) team and my daughters novice (7-8yo) team.

I've got the Canadian hockey players smile too!........One of my front teeth is false from being punched in the mouth playing hockey a few years ago.

It's been a while since I played- I've been skating since I was a youngin.
Roller blades and Ice- Played a lot of pick up games and some rec leagues.

I need to break the skates out again and warm them up.

 

i played when i was younger and all through high school, but not since then.

 

What is this hockey you speak of, is that the thing where you put on tights and skates and prance around to elevator music. Not to many "hockey" player here in so cal.

 

I've been playing for 21 years. just adult/beer league since high school.. but I still love it.

 

No it's a game you play with clubs in your hands,knives on your feet and there's no out of bounds.You are encouraged to express your displeasure to your opponents with a punch in the face,and when your done,your toes are usually frozen....You should try it,it's fun.

 

I played on a youth league when I lived in (near) Boston.

 

What's everyone riding on?.....I just bought a new pair of the Nike/Bauer Supreme,ONE35's.Super light,great fit with the thermo-mold system and really reasonable at $200.I tried on the ONE95's but couldn't justify $700.I loved the carbon sole but waaay too rich for my blood.

 

I'm using a Nike/Bauer ONE40 composite.I've never had a great shot,but I'd like to try something with a bit more flex.

I'm pretty excited about this league. I'm from Florida so its def. not a sport we are raised on down here...but my g/f is from Michigan and loves hockey so over the years I've been getting more and more interested in it. My skates and equipment start coming in tomorrow and the league starts in about a month. I'm freakin stoked.

 

I played some hockey back in New York, then I played roller hockey here. It's not the same.

 

I say we put together the "Tacomaworld Hockey Team"......I'll take #14 and play left wing.

 

Canadian hockey smile haha nice play. I am Canadian I suppose I better get myself one of those. I have played my whole life and still play rec once a week. OUr team is getting beat down this year though.

Woohoo.....New RBK bag and elbow pads and a new Oakley visor for Christmas.....You guys wearing visors?I've gone without for the past number of years but I think it's time.We had a guy sustain a pretty serious eye injury a few yers back and I've had a bunch of close calls.

 

I went with a full cage...noobish I spose, but my parents spent too much money on braces to enjoy a "hey mom, guess what..i knocked out a tooth" phone call.
