    Can't win in the playoff's you say...and this coming from someone who's man crush went 18-0 but can't win a superbowl....against a manning sister...twice.

    Who's the bigger loser here?

    P. Manning went to the superbowl in 2007, won that one. Went again in 2010, sadly he lost but look at the team that beat them (the Colts) that year....straight out of a fucking flood. Manning and the Bronco's....straight out of a fucking flood to kick ass.

    All your arguments are invalid.

Well, fun weekend of football. My thoughts:

    1) New England is fraudulent and all it took was an above average defense to show it.

    2) Denver tho amazing is going to come back down to earth. If I was a Denver fan I would be afraid that they peaked at the wrong time. I would much rather see them light it up in November and December when their QB struggles in an outdoor field. Even his home field.

    3) Your welcome San Francisco. Very clear to me Seattle broke Houston's spirit for you. San Fran still doesn't seem to be playing very good but the next 5 weeks should be winds.

    4) Indianapolis is legit in the AFC.. but not a super bowl contender. Seattle should have won that game. I think they are the 2nd or 3rd best team in the AFC behind Denver and with Cincy.

    5) Seattle. Any fan at the beginning of the year would have taken 4-1. Their offense isn't clicking yet and they had 3 pro-bowlers and 1 starter out from the offensive line again. LT Russell Okung (All pro), out. C Max Unger (All pro), out. TE Zach Miller (Pro-Bowl), out. RT Breno Giacomini, out. What it showed me is that Seattle can play "average" bring their C game and hang with an AFC favorite on the road in a dome who plays their A game. I'm ok with that. Would have liked a win of course but 16-0 is unrealistic.

    6) Schaub is shell shocked, but he'll remain the starter for now. But Houston is done.

    7) Saints look great but I still don't trust their defense.

Pretty much agree on most of this. It's still obvious how much of a homer you are though :p Trying to take some credit for a Niner win and making a bunch of excuses for SEA losing. I still think right now Seattle is playing better than SF. But it's a long season and we shall see where it goes.

I'm just glad that SF won and SEA lost so that the NFCW race is a little closer. I just hope the Niners don't get overconfident with this stretch of the "easy" part of their schedule.

Hmm, I don't think I'm a homer, I'm a fan. Also I'm not giving excuses as to why San Francisco won or why Seattle lost. Seattle deserved to lose that game and San Fran win.

I'm simply saying we were missing a ton of bullets and still really should have won the game. We shot ourselves in the foot. It sucks today, but looking back we were really sloppy but still hung with one of the top AFC teams in their stadium. The loss sucks but I fell really good about the team overall. We're not playing our best, have a decimated offensive line and are still 4-1 with three tough road games behind us.

As for the SEA win and the SF loss, it does nothing for the NFC west race. Both teams split with HOU/IND. Gotta figure both will win against JAC/TEN. Records against AFC is way down the list on tie breakers. Right now Seattle has all the tie breakers so really Seattle would need to go 7-4 where San Fran would need to go 9-2 for a clean NFC west win. Assuming 12-4 gets it. Honestly I think it will be 13-3 which makes it even harder for San Fran.

    uhhhh:

I think you mean SF win and SEA loss. But anyway, what I meant with the NFC West race is simply just standings. Not talking about tie breakers. Seattle is 4-1 and SF is 3-2. Again, it's a long season, so who know's what will happen.

But that's what makes football even more exciting. I am very much paying attention to Seattle and hoping they lose, as I'm sure you are paying attention to SF (and AZ and StL) and hoping we all lose to make sure you guys stay on top.

I still don't see it as an excuse, the Houston team that came to San Francisco was not the same Houston team Seattle played a week earlier in Houston. And yea, I flipped the win/loss. Also yes, I root against all other NFC west teams .. sadly the other two suck so not much to worry about.

And you can make the Argument Houston wasn't the same team when they played Seattle, hinge the quarterback has throw 4 pick-6's in the last four games. Truly that was what swung the momentum in the Seattle game as it was in the 49er game. :)

You are implying that Seattle is the reason why Houston didn't play well last night. It's a new week and these are professional football players.

HOU was still a top 5 offense, and the best defense in the NFL last night. How about Schaub getting a pick-6 on his very first throw, or SF D playing lights out all night without 4 starters on defense (2 All Pros at that). Or SF O-linemen handling the undersized "quick" D-linemen on HOU. Maybe that had something to do with the loss? Give credit where it's due. Niners haven't been all that great this season, but they balled out last night

On another note (because this thread seems to be only about SF, SEA, Brady, and Manning)

How many points will ATL win by tonight? I'm guessing 17

ATL is a playoff team and Geno Smith is making common rookie mistakes. NYJ's defense is surprisingly playing well, but it's not enough to stop the high powered Falcons.

On another note, I was in NY over the weekend (of course wearing my Niner gear yesterday). But there were a bunch on Giants fans headed to the game and all of them had a defeated mentality. None of them really had any confidence in their team, but I give them props for still going to the game. Blue jerseys were everywhere.
