Probably because he has already played 17 seasons.

Montana. Young stepped into a ready-made QB's wet dream that had been built around Montana. Fucking Stephen Hawking would've looked like a good QB in that situation. Didn't we just go over this a couple months ago?

So Montana blew off the last game at Candlestick, and I KNOW he was in town, as he was supposed to see me Saturday for car stuff. How does the best QB not show up but the other greats do?

Glad we took home the last regular season win. It's super shitty that it is the end of my season tickets, as the PSL's totally blew me out of the water.

I still to this day find it amazing though that people call someone's coach a douche when their coach is Cheat Carroll... As for Seahawks, Wilson and Lynch are great players and seem all around good guys, but Carroll, Sherman, and Tate are walking Taints... But who cares if they win some games huh!

Yup... No rings and 1 post season win. At what point do you say "what the fuck? I want to make something of my career..."

There have been many great players without a ring. He will still make it into the HOF. I admire the man for retiring on his own terms and not trying to chase a ring because some people are Monday morning quarterbacking and saying he should try another team for another year. In the NFL there is no guarantee any team is going to the Superbowl the next year, no matter how hard their fans think they will.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Agreed. He played the game he loved for years. He's still healthy, and made a lot of money doing it. He is going out when he wants to go out. Like someone else said, if a team next year finds themselves down to no TE's in week 14 and in the hunt for the post season... he may come back for a few more games.

Exactly..too bad he didn't get traded inseason this year to a contender, similar to Ray Bourque going to Colorado towards the end, and have a shot at a ring. But good for him doing it his way..would be a shame if he kept going till he was obviously not able to go.

anyone else see Randy Moss talking shit on Fox's broadcast? Stated he could still go out and put up 15-16 TD's in a season... Too bad he's such a pain in the ass, or someone might have given him another shot at it...

His last season with the 49ers, he put up 3 TD's... But they have franchise receivers already. In order for him to do that, he could only go to New England, and we'd never take him back. Even then, 15-16 TD's is pushing it for him... It MAY work on the Saints too... But I'm calling bullshit on him.
