Same defense, better offense. Go Hawks!

Nice to GB back at it again with the same 'ol over hyped defense bull shit, maybe one day this "genius" Ted Thompson will learn the importance of an offensive line and defense.

I'll bet Peyton lays 40 on them, though.

Hate to be the one to break it to ya sparky...the oline wasn't the problem tonight and isn't a problem right now in the slightest, nor is Ted Thompson and/or his drafting.

This was all Capers and Slocum. Blame the ones responsible.

Rodgers was under pressure all of the 2nd half and their players on defense are over rated. I feel like every season I hear about how the Pack defense is revamped and better... they they get exposed. Time after time.

Not sure, I'd have had Cobb run streaks on him all night. The only way to beat him is with speed like TY Hilton did last year.

    Apparently the coaches thought otherwise.

Oh, you mean after the starter left injured and the backup was left with no help against one of the best speed rushers in the league?

Yea. Again, why is this Ted Thompson's problem? That would be on the playcalling, if anything, for not having calls lined up where the backup had help, at the very least a back to chip on the way out, or a TE.

Next man up, roster needs to be deeper. Take a page out of the Hawks or 49er playbook and get some subs that can play. That's all GM, not "play calling."

Our nickel defender, Lane, went out with an injury and Rodgers didn't expose the weakness? Why? Because we have depth.

All I can say to this is that I think Rodgers stands a better chance of having a good day on the Hawks than Peyton does. It takes a strong arm to find the small windows ... they feasted on duck ball.

The Broncos have a much better O-line.

You have depth because your QB, while being one of the better one in the league, is locked into his rookie contract and making 600K this year. If he hit the open market, I'd be shocked if he didn't make AT LEAST 20 *times* that.

Don't get me wrong, I'm taking nothing away from the Hawks tonight. (Side note: where do you think your GM learned his shit?) Right now they are stacked and playing like SB champs.

But...dude....put down the kool aid and step back. Try a bit of realism.

What's not "real" about what I said? You ask any NFL columnist they'll talk about the Packer inability to field a physical defense. If they could get a defense half as hungry as the Hawks they would have multiple Super Bowl, wins, with Rodgers.

    For that, I blame Thompson.

And sure, Schneider learned a lot of from Thompson. More importantly he learned to let someone else make the defensive roster decisions. Carroll is more in control of that roster than Schneider is and it shows on the defense. Everyone knows who is calling the shots in Seattle. Carroll hired Schneider, not the other way around.

Uhm, you know it was like 5 days apart, the hiring of Carroll and Schneider, right?

Pete barely knew where his OFFICE was when they brought in Schneider. Carroll had basically nothing to do with the hire. The negotiations to have him come over from Green Bay were already in place and in progress well before Carroll even walked in the building.

Negative. Widely known Carroll interviewed and chose Schneider .. from a pre-selected list yes, but it was his decision none the less. Carroll doesn't take the job if he doesn't get full control.

"But to get the five-year, $33 million contract, Carroll had to agree to a stipulation: He had control over football operations, but he had to choose a general manager from the list of four that Leiweke created.

The Seahawks’ apprehension came largely from the full control that Holmgren was given when he was hired away from Green Bay in 1999, then had his GM duties stripped away when the multi-hatted “Big Show” wasn’t working. The latter decision helped get the Seahawks to the first Super Bowl.

This time, the Seahawks were willing to give Carroll his choice, but not from among his friends.

Here’s the way one source put it: “Sometimes, you have to protect these guys from themselves.”

If you followed the Seahawks saga, you know the rest: Carroll was hired Jan. 10, 2010, and nine days later hired Schneider, who spent eight seasons learning football’s wise ways in Green Bay.

The oddness of a coach hiring what would normally be his boss was described by the club as “a collaboration,” a much-derided term in local media. So was the whole situation: Many in Seattle resented Carroll for his USC roots, and Schneider was a 39-year-old unknown to even Carroll."

A link is provided and a response is ellipsis.

Ellipsis: omission or falling short. Depending on the context and placement in a sentence, ellipses can also indicate an unfinished thought, a leading statement, a slight pause, or a nervous or awkward silence.

Next man up is never as good as the first man up. The Seahawks exploited that. I blame coaching for not providing help from a TE or FB.

The blame doesn't fall on the GM shoulders on that one.
Being a Seahawks fan I was actually impressed that Rodgers was getting some protection. He was sacked eight times in the first half the last time these two teams met. Usually he is scrambling for his life. Also, I believe that Ha Ha Clinton Dix is going to make an impact in the league.
