If my skills could demand 30 million a year...I'd sure pursue it.

    So...

If your skill value could demand such high numbers would you not pursue it?

I'm a Yankee and Cano fan, but they learned their lesson giving up such large contracts. Such as AROD , CC etc,. Cano will go elsewhere before they sign him for 30 a year. I hope.

I'm no Yankee fan. I'm a fan of earning as much as your trade is worth. And Cano is one of the current best.

Rays could never afford him though

    I agree
I also doubt he will get a 10 year deal

But he will get a sporty contract, no doubt

what a great moment in MLB history seeing Mariano Rivera take his last pitches from the Yankee mound.

the whole event was touching...especially after the game when he visited the mound alone, scrapped the rubber with his cleats, and left with a fist full of dirt...very cool!

I've been a true fan of the game for near 50 years...one of only a few times I had tears from MLB drama.

what an awesome and blessed man.

    no specifics...not my point.

my point: if your skills can support it in the marketplace...why not demand it.
