I've had older lionel trains since I was a kid. Now being in my 20's I got the spark again and picked up a mth caterpillar set up. Wondered if anyone else is in to model trains??

I have more cars just didn't get a picture of them all together. Will snap some when my lay out is done

Cool! I love the detail on the engines. If you're ever in the St. Paul area, it is WAY worth stopping in at Scale Model Supplies... They have a huge, impressive selection of model trains and plastic models, too. www.scalemodelsupplies.com

I just started getting back into it. It's been 30+ years. Over the past 3 weeks I've been picking up some N guage trains

I have boxes and boxes full of HO scale stuff from my grandpa. We put some of it together like nine years ago but then I moved and it has all been in a box since. I don't have any room where I live now.

Ya definitely a hobby where you need some room. I am making a 12x12 table in my basement for a cool layout. Of course it won't be conplete in a while. Crazy to see how expensive some of this stuff is

Yeah I have basically everything I need as far as track, controls, trains, landscape, everything is saved. I just don't have room for it. Otherwise I would love to do it.

I'm pushing 50 and still have the Lionel set my parents bought when my brothers and I were all under 5-6 years old. We get it out every once in a while. In middle school and High school my buddy Jim had a whole room in their house dedicated to HO trains. It was a huge layout with a working turntable and roundhouse. We spent hours in there tinkering. His Dad retired with over 45 years of service on the B&O RR. I have my own HO trains we put up around Christmas. Just not enough room in this house to keep them up all the time. Good memories.

When I was really young, my dad turned a ping pong table into a Lionel train display. Every Christmas we would take it out and set it up. I loved doing that. I wish I had some pics of it. I know he still has all the cars in his attic. When I get a house and some lil ones Id like to do a display. If you live in Pittsburgh area the Carnegie sciece center does an excellent display of the coal trains. All historic accurate of how the area once looked.

This summer my Dad wants to come out and visit me in CO. Id like to go to the Silverton rail road.

I love model trains and I have a bunch of O scale stuff. I set it up every so often but it takes up so much space. I would love to dedicate a room to a layout.

Used to do H.O. but haven't for a long time. Now I'm getting my 3 year old into it, breaking out my old stuff too. Think I'm catching the bug again.
