Poor Celtic today. Went down early but they were pressing and knocking on the door for long stretches of the game. Then it all kind of unraveled. Madrid owned us in the first half and they kept knocking on our doors. They did a great job of taking away our possession and making our defensive players create.

We did a great job of NOT allowing XABI ALONSO create in the mid and RONALDO streaking with the ball. I respect him for keeping his word and showing respect to the club. Well placed header for sure from a top class player we created.

The game couldve went either way with the chances from both sides and DE GEA saved us today! He had some amazing saves. . . This boy is rising into a man.

^Should've/Could've. If you think about it and really look at the game. We locked them down with Defense and counter attacking. We went for our chances and could've won the game ourselves. Welbeck had a chance at # 2 goal and RVP shouldve scored the 2nd for us. Like I said, should've/could've.

There is no way we can compete in the style of back and forth passes as Barca/Real Madrid.

Teams are learning to drop Mid/Back lines to pressure and clog the mid. Then attack on mistakes made as you can see they're weak in that area.

Sub'd. Just found this thread & a huge soccer fan. Not really an aficionado of any particular Premier team, but love the competition. My son fancies himself the next "Chicharito", so he's a Man U fan! Being in San Diego, I'm a Tijuana Xolos fan in the Mexico League. But I pretty much enjoy all the big leagues. I'm most passionate when watching my kids both play, both on competitive club teams. Best sport out there!

 

Son's man u Van Persey jersey showed up for his birthday. Damn those official jerseys are expensive,but the look on his face was priceless.
