    Creepy

But actually I live in AZ and have friends that know Buddy Rice back when they were teammates, and I still don't think she will ever win a Sprint Cup race, my opinion

Granted te track was cold and tires weren't gripping well. But not one other driver struggled in turn one of lap one like she did. If she's not wrecking, she's running in the very back. She doesn't seem to be learning from her mistakes week in and week out. Just because you can dominate a go cart and be a DECENT Indy driver doesn't make you for for NASCAR. she's absolutely got the sponsorship and position she has because of her gender. If Dale Jr can't get full sponsorship for next year but Danica can, that's a key to show she's getting special treatment for being a woman in a mans sport.

I am looking forward to seeing hos things go for the Hendrick team in Charlotte. Hopefully Kyle will have another crap weekend. (Sorry, I just don't like him, his attitude, or how he drives) After the race in Charlotte I will decide if I am going to get tickets at Talladega. I usually only attend the spring race, but I am thinking about the fall race now.

I have been to the spring race twice.Saw Dale win one and Jeff win one. Dale was in line with the pack and just pulled out on the outside and passed everyone.Crowd went crazy. They love the Earnhardts down there. At one of the races there was a guy in the stands not far from us dressed in a goodwrench racing suit and looked just like Dale. He was amazing. The fans down there are hard core, ...love em...

Well me and my dad went ahead and got tickets to next weekend's race. We even popped an extra $140 for the "Talladega Experience" where we get preferred track parking, free access to all of the specialty pavilions, (Read that as free food and beer!) as well as being down on the track in the middle during driver introductions, and the pre-race fan/driver Q&A with Denny Hamlin, Dale Jr, and Danica Patrick. So yeah, I am pretty excited about this weekend.

As for Saturday night's race at Charlotte, I was disappointed for Dale. His Crew chief made some bad calls on tires and it turned out not so good for Dale. On a good note Danica was able to get herself a 20th place finish. Yeah, not stellar, but like I said, she is still developing. She still has the highest overall average finish of any rookie in history that has come from another racing venue. I hope she can get herself a good finish at Talladega. Even the best drivers out there get a little worried on the superspeedways because anything can happen. I have seen the best drivers ever get ruined at Daytona and Talladega. Even Danica was going strong at Talladega in the spring when she got caught in the middle of a late wreck. At the time she was 5th. I was disappointed. But I am looking forward to next weekend!!!!

KB is out and just did an interview. He hit the inside wall hard and said he just wanted some air. I would bet this affect him for the big race tomorrow

race buddy doesn't broadcast for every game. No worries though, a guy I work with has Dish and pulled up the last 40 or so laps on his phone through the Dish app..

Meanwhile, my thoughts about the race:

-One of the more boring races I've seen. Seems like the new Gen cars couldn't get the 2,3,4 wide races in rows like they used to. Made for a very lame finish

-Not sure how I feel about Stenhouse pretty much pulling the PIT maneuver on Dillon. I understand you're racing for the checkered flag but he just spun him out. Reminds me of Smoke.

-Waiting to hear the excuse Danica lovers are going to have for her not being able to slow down enough to avoid the infield or even enough to make her pit box like the other 42 drivers did.

-Lastly, glad to see Jimmie end up ahead of Kenseth for the points lead. This is going to be a good last month of racing!

First off, I had a BLAST at the race. We had great tickets, and had the hospitality suites access and driver's introduction as well. It was cool standing about 6 feet from the drivers as they came across the side stage.

As for your comment on "Danica lover's" I don't make excuses for her. It is simple, she, like many other drivers have done in their career, came in too hot. Plain and simple. Every driver out there has done it. Simple, she came in too hot and it cost her bad. Sucks, but that is part of racing. That aside, you cannot deny that she did a GREAT job racing today. She was consistently in the top 20, and spent a majority of that time in the top 15. Top 10 many times, and as high as 3rd. I watched several times as she got herself out of the draft and fell back into the top 15, but within 3 or 4 laps, back in the top 10. She did really well, and no matter who you like, you can't say she didn't do well. I'm not happy with how it turned out for her, but I am happy for her overall day. She is getting much better.

So here we were during the driver's Q&A before the race. I had a pretty good spot. These pictures are from my camera phone, so you have an idea of how close we were.

This was at the first caution on lap 2. It shows you where we were in relation to the track. You can't see it here, but our seats were less than 20 feet after the start-finish line, Moss-Thorton Grandstands, Section F, Row 17, seats 10 and 11.

Now this last picture shows you just how dangerous things in the stand can be. The guy was 2 rows behind us, and 3 seats over. We saw the flash of something that literally passed right over our heads. Within inches as you can see. It hit the guy right in the stomach. Yep, you can see it in his hand. A lugnut!

Overall I have to say we had a GREAT day. I shot about 45 minutes or so of video on my GoPro, but that will take some time to render. I will try and clip out some of it and post it later on. Glad that Dale got himself a solid 2nd place. Happy to see Jimmie take the points lead.
