yes that's what i was thinking...more ground clearance would be good...it would be like the perfect mix....my old nitro rustler was really fast but didn't have much ground clearance and my savage 25 had ground clearance but was kinda slow....

mini e-revo madness spreading like H1N1! :D two of my buddies have bought MERVs since i got mine and a third has one on the way. these little cars are a blast. we had an indoor bash session last night in a small warehouse. i came away with a destroyed spoiler. a couple of the nitros that we ran had a 30+ mph head on collision and one broke a front bulkhead, the other suffered a broken front diff housing...what fun! in all we had: three MERVs, a Losi XXL truck, a Traxxas TMAXX 3.3 and a Losi 8ight 2.0 buggy running. the 8ight and the TMAXX took the hit.

my little revo will at the least, keep up with the nitros...maybe outrun them on stock batts...if i can keep from flipping over backwards under acceleration that is :p

I just bought one a couple days ago. I picked up the new Traxxas Slash 4x4. So far it's great. I've been bashing it a bit, but haven't really had a chance to run it hard because of our crappy weather. Everything still has a little snow or slush. Luckily everything is waterproof.

It's electric with a brushless system. I went back and forth between the 2wd and 4wd slash, but the new 4wd came with brushless and a 2.4ghz radio. Definitely a great time.

I would suggest the RPM a-arms. The aluminum is great for heavy abuse, but it can lead to the next part that could be plastic, breaking apart. It also is very heavy, and can cut down on performance. Also they are very expensive.

But everyone is different, some guys would say go with the aluminum!

Basically in a nut shell, the RPM's are stronger than the stock arms, but don't cost as much as the aluminum. They are great for racing and messing around, or semi-heavy abuse.

I would usually tell customers to use a mix of aluminum parts, and RPM products. Usually a bulkhead in aluminum, and RPM arms. But this also depends on the kind of car you have.

i had a nitro rustler in the past and as things would break i replaced them with aluminum parts and even went as far to get aluminum rims that were $80...lol....the whole car was aluminum almost when i got done....but it slowed it down a bit but worse than that it got to where when you crashed it would bend the shock shafts even though it had aluminum shocks....i'd say stick with plastic and just replace with plastic if it breaks
