Anyone into R/C?

Well I am running 2 castle systems... First one is a 3800kv sw2 system in my exo which is working awesome I admit, the other is a 2400kv 1415 system with mmp in my slash, only has a handful of runs on it on 2s, and 3 runs on 3s. ran it yesterday through one 2s 5800mah pack, tried it today and it seems the esc is all screwed up..

Im done with castle, $230 for a sct kit and not even used it more then 10 times total and having this kinda issue is bs, ill be calling tomorrow and see how good there customer service is..

I've had few problems with Castle products, I've had Mamba monster, max pro, and the SC versions. Did you set it up after the instalation?
-turn on, the chime beeps
-after the chime is done, full throttle, green light illuminates, hold until chime ends
-full brake/reverse, red light illuminates, hold until chime complete
-neutral, leave the trigger alone until the chime beeps again and then you should be good to go.
If you already did this, send it back. They have good customer service, but when i had one replaced under warranty they were backordered. Good luck

 

Well,spent some money tonite

Bought a proboat mystic 29 with 200amp esc and other mods from another forum to replace my wrecked one. Also placed a order for 20 sets of 5.5 bullets to convert anything above 2s I have, 2 of those 3 channel orange rx spectrum recievers, and 4 more batterys (2 2s and 2 3s sky lipos).

Anyone know what would cause a balance board to short out? went to balance charge a 2s lipo earlier, plugged the balance lead in, went to plug the connector in and the balance board sparked and shorted out. battery looks to be in good shape, its charging fine, havnt tried to balance it again, if it was the battery that caused it i dont wanna screw up my other balance board.

 

It's hard to believe, but all balance plugs ARE NOT the same. My ThunderPower packs are different, and some no name something's I have is different yet again.

 

went to my first nitro race ever and ended up pitting for a buddy of mine lol

 

Got board yesterday and painted up a new body. Got lazy on some of the masking but it came out ok

ah yes, the only RC i will not even try haha I wrecked on a simulator within 2 seconds of attempting to take off.

 

Dude priced a used Jammin CRT with an LRP .28 motor, starter box, radio, everything for 225 today... I'm thinking I might make him an offer and include my Hyper10TT on trade... 135 and my ofna? (Ofna would just be a roller pretty much.)

THANKS FOR THE INPUT DOUCHE. Unfortunately I haven't had time to keep the track up so it's gotten pretty out of hand. On the bright side once I get some implements for my tractor it'll be better than ever!

 

My dad just sent me some pics of his new boat he had a buddy paint, looks sick!

 

I want to buy my 6 year old a fast battery operates RC truck for about 200.00. Any ideas on what to get and/or a website to order?

think my niMh pack has shit the bed.

its only 2-3 months old , maybe 5 charges on it.

charger says its done in 3 minutes or so.

try to run it and its just about dead.

I have it trickle charging over night to see if it helps.

anyone have any suggestion , besides ditching it and buying lipo ?
