If it's what available to you and works then go for it. I'm actually running Losi fuel right now and it's good to go, made by VP race fuel so it must be decent lol

Through a axial light kit on my 1/16 summit, was a direct fit and managed to stuff the light controller into the waterproof r/x box :D

Now i can do some night running with it.

i just put head lights and tail lights in the 1/24 just wired a deans plug right off the battery input though, since that tiny thing doesn't have room for a second battery

After a 7... 8 year hiatus I decided to pull out my electric RC stuff.. See what works and what doesn't...I didnt even remember the names of the trucks I had to research to figure out what I had... hahaha

Old Team Losi Truck.. Receiver doesn't seem to work.

RC10T I believe its called. Runs perfect, Pretty Old. I dont think I can afford to just jump back into the hobby, So maybe I can just update this one a bit for some bashing and fun. No racing.

And then there is this... HPI street car.. know nothing about it. Not even sure where I got it.. 4 wheel drive. Has a short somewhere. goes fast then stops and starts again like a bad connection somewhere.. I don't care for cars to much anyway so this one is scrap. Maybe I can sell it for $50 to someone

Is it worth $400? Seems like a lot of dough for something like that.

IMO it is, i paid $380 for it from rpp with free shipping.

Its a complete rtr truck, comes with a lipo, a lipo charger, 4 aaa's for the tx, comes with a dx3e which is the best rtr tx iv got. There is issues with the shift servo but they will replace it no questions asked, iv ran about 8 packs through mine and no issues yet.

It jumps better them my slash, if i lock the front it will be a decent crawler, but im ok with just koh crawling and just using the power to get through stuff since i have crawlers for full on crawling.

You can sell off the stock rx/tx for about $55, sell the stock motor/esc for $65-70, put that towards a brushless setup and it will be a even better. Im staying stock until i break it, been running on 3s with no issues so far..

That RC10T is cool, it's one of the very first ones. They didn't have skinny front wheels very long at all, then went to the wide ones.

Yeah I noticed that. Not sure what I want to do yet. Thinking about upgrading the electronics and stuff and using it. But I may just clean it up and sell it to start with a new Truck.. Its definitely cool knowing I have a pioneer Truck though.

turned out to be the reciever that was the issue with the 1/10 truck. it actually had two issues. 1) the rance would only go to about 12 feet before cutting out completely 2) something was off with the throttle connection, so even while in-range, it would only operate the trottle for about 10 seconds before slowly losing power and stopping (steeting still worked).

they popped a new reciever into it and gave it a test on one of their fully charged batteries. works great now.

not too fast out of the box, but a very fun truck. none the less. great bang for your buck at $200

BUT.....i went into this with the intentions of it being a project truck. so, is anyone selling a 1/10 scale brushless motor/esc? I can get the castle 3800kv motor and esc for like $120 and the traxxas setup for $160. but let me know if any of you guys are selling.
