i also used one of the adhesive mounts, you just have to make sure the area is clean and apply pressure for about 30 to 45 seconds so it can adhere better.

i need to come up with a way to mount it from the chassis and come up through the top, because being mounted on the body makes the video really shaky

So my T4.1 has been sitting in the closet for the past months... A friend of mine just opened a carpet track so I might be going next weekend for the opening. Never ran carpet, any setup suggestions? (tires etc..)

Never ran carpet either, but the TLR 22 can be configured for mid-engine, which is supposedly good for carpet. I guess this is because carpet is just grippier, with less chance of the back end sliding around. So anything you can do to get weight forward a bit would be my guess. I think the Europeans run carpet a lot, so maybe someone has posted a good setup for you vehicle somewhere on the interwebs.

Thanks I'll google around, I know there is a kit (the X60 I think) for making the T4 mid motor, if I start going frequently to that track I might consider it.

Im guessing around 30 or so. Maybe a bit more as the brushes wear in and the batteries cycle a few times.

Thats true itll just get faster lol
Any of you with slash experience done a wide mod upfront, I think the front jato a-arms may be too much (too wide). Maybe rustler a-arm mod, and possibly some semi scale looking trailing arms (for looks mostly lol)

i took my truck to a track tonight and had a blast it is a huge difference than running in my back yard with all the loose dirt and rocks. i learned a ton about how my truck actually handles and the way i need it to handle. i did add the front sway bar and the chassis stiffener since i got it, so i dont know what it would have felt like stock. next thing on my list is new wheels and tires and a new body for racing

Haha yeah they need some work in their stock form. The stock BFG tires are absolute shit. Mine was getting close to dialed in. I was running losi blue springs out back and black up front, traxxas lcg conversion, proline caliber's on proline six shooter beadlocks, 50w oil front all around. For power I had a 550 4.5t tekin scx4 and a mamba max pro on 2s. It was a beast on the track! I was actually really sad to see it go but I dont have anywhere to run it anymore

People have done wide trac fronts on slashes but mostly on 2wd. It's hard to retain 4x4 and go that wide. I think I've seen trailing arms on one too actually. Just google it and I'm sure you'll find something.

Nice Torment! I've got a Ruckus (non waterproof, 2.4ghz), and a Smash (upgraded to 2.4ghz, dampened shocks, and brushless). They've been great trucks so far, minus me overheating the smash and frying the motor, hence the brushless upgrade. My next RC will be a SC truck to race. I may try to race my Tamiya Lunchbox too, that'd be too funny.

I am running the proline protrac kit on my slash 4x4, its not super wide but wider then stock and helped with a handling a ton. I am running trenchers on proline beadlocs and the front sticks out of the stock body about 1/2"-5/8".

Thanks, this was supposedly the newest Torment, it has the upgraded Spektrum DX2E 2.4GHz radio. It also says that its waterproof, which the Dynamite Tazer ESC looks to be. But the motor probaly not. Im sure as with most things i have upgrade will start flying on soon. Aluminum coilovers are for sure coming!

Well i couldnt stand it, the Torment handled like a worn out taco, so off to the hobby shop today and picked up a set of Traxxas big bore aluminum body shocks with progressive rate springs. Wow, what a difference! Handles a ton better. There not the threaded body pre load adj that i wanted but come with a ton of spacers, titanium shafts. [IMG]

I did but cant find much, im thinking of doing something like the hpi desert trophy truck. probably going to see if I can mount shocks on them also.

I was thinking if doing for stability but aftet running it with the current setup it doesnt roll over, or come close to doing so. But I think ill do just to get that wide look anyway.

I also just won a bid for a 3ch tx/rx on ebay, finally I don't get outbidded lol. So on the to do list are tires, lights, mudflaps, some scale looking mods, and rustler a arm wide mod. But it's more of a wish list lol
