When i hooked all my stuff up the other night the motor would start twitching until i turned on the radio and it found the signal. Idk know if my SC truck does this or not but ill check this evening when i get home from work. I found it strange though.

You can see weird behavior around other signal-transmitting devices. I would take it out in a parking lot or something where there are no other devices if you really want to test it out. As long as it behaves normally when the transmitter is on I wouldn't worry too much about it.

You could always reprogram your ESC just to be sure.

This is what I want to do for my next wraith. I've seen some pretty sweet toyota trucks built out of them

Well...I may be ordering the SCX10 Jeep Rubicon G6 kit before the holiday break is over.

I'm itching to build it and figure a kit is going to be my best option this time given that I'm going to be upgrading everything anyway.

I'll post up if I end up pulling the trigger.

Well my wraith finally arrived last night, i havnt recieved my wheel hexes yet so i cant mount the shoes. But i got 80t spur swapped out for the 87t and the motor mounted and all the electronics in it. Only problem is the transmission and or spur gear seem to be making a popping type sound, not at low speed but when motor speed increases. I have set the mesh tighter, looser, w/paper, loosened slipper, tightened slipper. I know what gears that aren't meshed right sound like and this sounds nothing like it. I even reinstalled the 80t spur and it does it also. I put a Traxxas 18t pinion on it and its the same pitch. This is my first 4wheel drive but it still doesnt sound right to me. Any ideas?

Edit: I think i figured it out, the hole for the motor shaft in the Traxxas pinion gear os off center, causing the gear to rotate like a egg changing the mesh as it rotates. I tore the whole transmission apart and it was fine but i noticed the gear after watching. Traxxas pinions seem to be of very low quality. Ill replace it with a Robinson racing Friday and should fix the problem.

Its official, my wraith is up and running. Robinson racing 18t pinion and it runs smooth as a babys butt. Wheel hexes came today so wheels are mounted. For anybody interested 87/18 with a 35t motor is right on target. Low and slow but just enough power in reserve to sling some mud if needed. Its perfect, now i just need to address the plastic steering links and some decent shocks. Tomorrow im heading down to the local lake to hit the trails. :headbang:

I was thinking the King's or maybe the Icon's. Im smoothing the valves and replacing the factory oil with associated 35wt in the factory ones now. Big difference!

I got the Heli-Max 1SQ V Cam for Christmas. It's tons of fun to fly indoors and out. Unfortunately, it is stuck on top of my 2 story house right now. I'll have to borrow a big enough ladder tomorrow and try to get it down without killing myself.

Luckily it doesn't rain in Vegas very often, and nothing in the forecast.

Heres my Kyosho MP9e TKI3. I love 1/8 scale buggies. I do like nitro more than electric but my closest track only races electric. I may convert this thing to nitro for the spring though and run it at a nitro track.
