im not sure i understand your question. when adjusting ride height on an rc car you move the collars equally per side. so your collars will be the same left and right. same with shock positions, camber link positions, everything. everything that you can adjust will be symmetrical left and right but not necessarily front and rear.

for example, say you have a battery on one side that is heavier than the motor on the other.....

it is feasable that the collar on the side with the battery may need a 1/2 turn or so to keep the car from having a little lean to that side.

i realize that it is less than ideal to have one side of the vehicle heavier than the other, but sometimes it happens. essentially the RC version of the "taco lean".

it's not an issue on the 2wd buggy, jato, or summit, where the chasis configurations are pretty symetrical from side to side, but my 4wd buggy and 4wd truggy have the motor on one side and battery on the other. weight distribution is pretty good, but you can tell that the COG is not directly on the centerline of the vehicle.

the "lean" really isnt that noticeable on rc's thats why you adjust only front and rear. most people instead of compensating with the spring collars they add stick on weights. having different adjustments on the shocks can cause it to jump awkwardly, roll, and a bunch of other things. its best to move weight around.

10-4 i'll do that when i get a gauge. i think i'll still measure side to side at lease the first time, to get a good level baseline.

you prefer the adjustable like in the video, or the little stepped ones? obviously the adjustable is more precise, jsut curious what you use. that video is the first time i've seen something other than the stepped gauges.....but then again, ''ve never really looked around for them either.

Awesome! Those are actually both old track layouts. not sure when Mikes was redone, but M&M was just redone about 3 weeks ago. they're talking about redoing it again though. the current layout it a lot mroe technical, and people keep complaining that it's beating up their vehicles too much

he run a similar style paint on his bodies to you, or have team c stickers on his stuff? trying to figure out how to spot him when i go out...

    Some RC pornzzz

Been so busy the last 3 weeks, that i haven't been able to go to the RC shop that is a couple miles further away, but that I like more than the one down the road from my office. Finally made it there yesterday for some parts, to find that they'd completely revamped their vehicle inventory with some pretty cool stuff.

They had the new boat I want  Absolutely massive. For scale, that's a 3 foot long spartan behind it.

Then I saw a miniature DJI Phantom. However, it was actually made by Helimax

They also had a couple of R1s

And speaking of the matching bodies, here's the newest. getting the 1/24 short course back up and running. color scheme for the fast stuff is blue and white. Gold for the crawlers. Jato, Summit, and now the micro SCT match now.

took a damn microscope to rebuild the diffs for the 1/24

There are 7 components making up the spider gear assembly in this picture.....
