Had one in my apparition 31" catamaran and in one in my motley crew. My dad ran one in his impulse 31 for awhile. I ran both my boats with a leopard 4082, can't remember what my dad ran with it.

I need to see if the stock motor in the revolt can handle 6s I guess. did you like the higher KV motors? I think the one in mine now is 1800 kv.

The stock motor I believe could handle it, it would be turning almost 40,000 rpm. My leopard 4082 motor was 1600kv, my dad ran his with the stock 1800kv proboat motor with no real issue, he did upgrade the cooling jacket and added a 2nd cooling line just for the motor.

I definitely need to add a second cooling line. I hate running warm water over the esc. my motor only ever hit 119 degrees this weekend on 4s though. esc on the other hand, melted some plastic wire shielding that was touching it

I just need to figure out how to add a second water pickup, or if the stock one has enough flow, should I y-split it once the tube enters the hull.

I'm surprised it got that hot on 4s, my revolt hasnt ever got that hot and iv ran it on 100 degree days. You can get a dual pickup rudder off kintec racing or just take a file to the stock rudder clean it up and see if you can open up the stock inlet hole then add a y.

could just be a bad ESC. I was running the more aggressive prop, which would make it run a little hotter, but this was drastically hotter compared to what I'm used to, so it's probably just time for a new ESC.

I think i'll just open up the hole on the stock rudder and run a splitter. if I need more, i'll get the dual pickup rudder. I have a feeling that the Y splitter will be just fine though, going from a 60amp esc to 120-180 amp.

double stock amperage should have it running nice and cool. you're on the more aggressive prop right? you run 4s or 6s? I've had a couple of batteries go out on my in the last month or so, so I'm gonna re-stock. only one or two of my RCs have a 2s max, so I figure i'll just buy 3s from here on out, which means 6s in the boat

Iv never ran it on 6s, it's a aggressive prop and last time I had it out I was trying to get it tuned to run 5s, but esc was acting up (got it used in a junk boat) so never got it to run properly.
