As an OSU fan i will admit we usually have a pretty weak schedule compared to the SCC and SEC teams. But i do think we will be pretty damn tough this year. We couldnt have dreamed of getting a better coach than Urban Meyer and if B Miller can stay healthy we should have a good shot at running the table at least.

Bmack. I am originally from Ohio and know lots from there. When Urban Meyer was at Florida buckeye fans could not stand him. They called him everything but a democrat. Said he recruited and allowed criminals too play etc..... Now they all say the same thing you do. How great thou art.. I don't know why that bothers me but it does.

 

They get to play the mount Norte dame girls high school lacrosse team as the season finally. Should put them over the top for a championship bid.

Penn State pulled down a statue of Joe Pa and OSU erects a statue of Tressel. Does this piss anybody else off?

 

Different circumstances. I am not defending or accusing paterno but to survive "politically" so to speak penn state had no choice.

 

I understand that the circumstances are different. Joe made a bad call ....cost him his job, (and arguably his life..if only earlier than otherwise) and the University pulled his iconic statue down. Tressel knowingly played ineligible players...cheating other teams out of wins.....and the university decides to honor the memory by erecting a statue of a fired, proven cheater. I just find that distasteful and wondered if anyone else noticed.

 

You probably didn't watch the game but last year they had some kind of tribute for tressel and at the end some players hoisted him up on their shoulders like you would after winning a championship game. Even ole sweater vest looked embarrassed by it.
