Longboarding is pretty fun. I have a buddy that got really into longboarding, he was never a skater though. He finally convinced me to go with him so i borrowed his brothers board and i beat him down every hill lol. If you learn how to bomb hills on a shortboard then big hills on a longboard aren't very scary.

If I lived in town I would, its pretty fun just cruizing around. I may still get a longboard to get around on campus with when I go to college though.

This thread is old, but I used to skateboard back in high school. I got tired of eating it.

Had a lot of good times skateboarding! I went everywhere on my board. I stick to snowboarding now.

32 years old, still skate 3 times a week, weather permitting. I've probably gotten out of it 2-3 times for a year or more at a time and every time I pick it back up, I regret staying away for so long. I bring a suit and skate on business trips!
I encourage anyone who used to skate to go buy themselves a new setup or a longboard and just cruise for a couple hours and you'll be hooked again. I just bought a new setup and went with risers and big wheels. It's mainly just for cruising

I brought by old board back from my parents house a couple of years ago. I got this for Christmast back when I was in Jr. High

Made a bunch of stuff black.
I used to skate every day and live for it. Now I'm older and more lame. Once in a while I screw around with it in my garage. I still have an eye open for sick skate spots, and I always point them out. I think it drives my wife crazy. Ha ha.

I wish I had some of my decks from the late 80's. Just even to hang them on the wall. Those are a couple of beauties.

I still get the "punk skater kid" looks from people occasionally. Doesn't matter that my kids are in grade school and I have a mortgage etc .... Haha
