Testing is already in full swing, and the new season will be with us soon! I love that Nascar is the longest active sport season. Once the race starts in Daytona during February Speed Weeks, it doesn't end until November! That is TEN months of racing!

So who is your favorite driver, and what do you expect to see this year? What do you think of the new packages and rules?

While I agree that I would like to see teh #3 car in the winner's circle again, I do not care much for the driver. He reminds me too much of Kyle. Self centered prick.

Well I will be honest, he does have the skill. He is a great driver, just like Kyle. But I just don't like drivers who are total pricks like Kyle.

Maybe I am wrong but I think Kyle was better last year as far as his attitude and maturity level

Yeah, I'm not quite sure how I feel about all of this yet..

I haven't really kept up with NASCAR for the past few years while in school, but I'm excited to watch it this season.

I am waiting to hear it officially but from the sounds of the new chase format where the last race is a winner takes all, I am not a fan

Interested to see the new chase format. Even though they need to get rid of it like the BCS.

    Go #18!

I don't like the new format for the chase at all. Of course I never was a fan in the first place. I mean you could have a driver who has been kicking ass all season, and he gets into the chase. Have an engine go on the first race and he is then totally eliminated? Stupid. Even the best teams can get a crap motor. Then you get to the final race and the driver who has had the most consistent finishes and solid runs could lose the championship because he came in second and the guy that WAS 3 positions back in the points going INTO the race finishes first? Where the hell is the reward for consistency??? I don't like it at all. I have been a fan for years, and I am seriously getting to the point where I don't want to keep renewing my Talladega tickets. At this point I am on the fence here. Hopefully my favorite drivers will do good this year.

New qualifying format is at least interesting.

I'm curious about that because it says Daytona, but earlier they said they would not change the Daytona 500 qualifying method. I think sponsors as well as fans would throw a SERIOUS fit over that. I do know this, if they do get rid of the traditional Daytona 500 qualifying, I WILL be done with Nascar.

Probably referring to the Coke 400 in July.
