2014 NCAA Football Thread

Mizzou surprised a lot of folks last year, including me after we handled them as well as we did the previous year at Williams Brice. I agree that I'm less worried about Richt's coaching and more concerned with Gurley as he is just a beast. Vandy is not the Vandy of years past.... they have finally been able to put some talent on the field. Hopefully Florida is still in self destruct mode. they weren't that good the year before.... we just made so many stupid mistakes that we handed them the game.

 

I'm not quite as optimistic as you Greg. We have the longest winning streak thanks to Shaw. He pulled out a bunch of close ones. He graduated, now I'm worried. We lost some good receivers and a few on defense also.

Remember the Tenn. game last year? I can see that happening a little more this season.

 

UGA landed a couple of 2016 commitments today. Top "Pro-Style QB" Jacob Eason and #3 O-tackle. #3 and #11 overall prospects in the nation in the 2016 class.

 

I'm not sure what the rest of the SEC east will bring to the table this year but I do know Florida has a tough schedule. And for my Dawgs we have returning talent all over the field, just not sure what we'll have on the o line and in our secondary, plus inexperience at QB concerns me. The east could be wide open this year.

 

Pretty much.....yup. We both still have good RB's but the QB's are questionable. Should be an interesting season. Clemson is in the same boat so your first game should be a great test before the SEC games start.

They might need to have summer walk-on tryouts! Spaces are still opening up.

 

UGA DL Jonathan Taylor arrested this morning. Only had 9 tackles last year, so probably not a big hit to us. He was also one of the 4 caught double dipping his check a few months ago. Seems like a real winner. I don't expect him to be around much longer.
