No, not for S&M, but because blacksmithing, whipmaking, knifemaking, etc. are all dying arts.

Anyway, I got a custom one, but like all my hobbies, I never preserve and put away my prized collectables. I use them.

I just can't work a bullwhip and have nearly cut my ear off and almost blinded myself and have multiple welts. But this whip cracking is fun!
