Part of me says forgive and forget...move on. However the other side says he is a player in the NFL that is idolized by people from all walks of life. Some out there might idolize him even more for doing what he's done....dunno. If it had been anyone of of us, we'd been thrown in jail for 10 years with no hope of a chance like him after release...... I was never a Vick fan before and I really don't plan on being one now.

I think they should just make him a running back or a wide out. He wasn't a very good QB anyway. He is a great athlete, and he is going to sell lots of tickets and other NFL garbage.

I think he should get a 2nd shot at proving that he isn't a crap human being. He served 2 years in a max security prison, and since he has served his time he should get the chance to go on about his life. I love animals, and what he did was pretty f'ng terrible, but I think it is pretty messed up that he got 2 years and Stallworth got 30 days for killing another person. Our system of "justice" is so flawed it is disgusting. We put people away for years for drugs, and crimes like Vick's, but we let rapist, murderers and child molestors skip out of the system with nothing but a slap on the wrist.

This is true but playing football for a living is a privilege. he should have been a better role model. there are so many people out there that are looking to get there first chance to play in the nfl why should he get 2.
edit: a normal person would have received more time.

First I'll say that I agree that Michael Vick is a great athlete and it will be fun to see him back on the field when he gets the chance.

Regarding your comment about the repercussions for killing animals vs. humans (assuming you're talking about Donte Stallworth), Michael Vick did a lot more than just kill a dog. It's not an apples-to-apples comparison to say one guy killed a dog and one killed a human.

If you don't hit it with a good shot, technically, yes, it could be described as torture. I shot one once, couldn't find it, went back the next day and found it and it was still alive. Shot it again. Still alive. Shot it again. Still alive. I shot it a total of 6 times, 5 from less than 10 yards away.

I'm not a big Eagles fan, but I would definitely rock the Vick jersey.
