My Son & I tried it a few weeks ago. We had a blast! We will be going a couple of times this week. I found a great website that shows courses in your area.

Bookmark this site. It is great for finding local courses & reviews. Lots of good reviews from other players.

When I lived in Flagstaff I use to always play! It was always fun. The course(s) were in the woods which made it great!

I'm just starting out. Can you give me any tips? I bought 2 mid range discs(I think Discraft Buzz) for my 12 year old Son & I. I was thinking of getting a couple of drivers & putters, now that we are hooked.

The Discraft Buzz is a great disc. I personally use it in all my tournament play and is a very predictable disc. I reccomend for a beginner is a lighter weight ( 164-169G ) Innova - Leopard, Sidewinder, Monarch or a Discraft - Avenger SS, XS, Meteor. Learn the X step and make sure to rip the disc off the pad keeping it in a straight plane across your chest for throwing maximum distance. If you are doing side arm its all in the wrist.

Best info on disc golf can be found at http://www.innovadiscs.com/ and http://www.discraft.com/

And for you people that dont know what disc golf is watch this!

oh man this is awesome. im glad you guys are geting into the sport. if ou enjoy it enought o watch it. October 10th i believe is the US open for disc golf in rock hill South Carolina at Winthrop university. some doggd discs to buy are innova. personally imo i dont use Discraft. but ideally you should start out with 2 drivers a midrange and a putter. all are for medium to long shots. and the putter, well for putting. but the more stable the disc the better off you will be. pm me if you have questions regarding

We set up an Urban course in my neighbor hood. We marked out fire hydrants, street signs, traffic signs, etc around the hood. The last hole you have to go over my friends house and the hole is landing it in the hammock.

His dad was asleep in it one afternoon and we didn't realize...

Everyone list your favorite discs. Also brand, Since I won't know by the model.

    Driver:

    Mid:

    Putter:

I am planning on buying some Thursday. All I have is the Discraft Buzz(midrange). Since I'm a noob & do not know enough about the discs yet. I'm curious what everyone throws.

    Thanks,
    Sean

driver: valkrie, wraith, or destroyer. all good ones for beginners

    midrange: shark, wolf or roc

putter: rhyno putter. or aviar putter. the aviar is the most stable i find, but he rhyno is good for medium to long range putt shots
