First of all, let me make it clear that I'm not looking to getting into airsoft. I used to play paintball, and I just don't have the time or money to go out to fields and buy expensive parts to make marginal differences.

The biggest difference I can find in my limited research are the gearboxes. Plastic vs Metal. I don't mind having plastic bodies because I'm not going to run around the woods with these. I just want to shoot some cans, targets, and terrorize my girlfriend. But having a plastic gearbox kind of makes me uneasy. Do the plastic gearboxes wear out fast? Do you think that I'll regret buying a gun with plastic gears? Should I just save up a little more and buy one with metal gears?

Here are a few that I've been eyeing. Keep in mind, I'm only going to be shooting cans and my girlfriend's ass, and hanging it in my TV room to look cool.

And if I were to step it up a little, I'd get this one:
