I was pulling for minnaar. He's one of my favorites but I thought Stevie was gonna win. I'm glad minnaar took the win. Stoked to see Jared graves up there too. He's been crushing enduro so that probably helped a lot

I too was pulling for Minnaar, but wanted to see Sam Hill on the podium next to him. :(

Jared Graves though, what an absolute beast. 3rd place with a single crown, just unreal.

I have a cheap Diamondback I bought years ago that's not cutting it anymore. So I have been thinking of getting a full suspension mtb :D All I know is I want disc brakes, full suspension and a solid frame. No carbon. 26 wheels. Too short to do 29er and the 27.5 might be pushing it. I prefer to have components that have a balance of durability and reasonable pricing.

I have better luck "fitting" women's specific bikes so I am considering these two

    The specialized safire comp
    http://www.specialized.com/us/en/bikes/mountain/safire/safire-comp

    The cannondale Lexi 2
    http://www.cannondale.com/2013/bikes/women-s/full-suspension/lexi/lexi-2

Any other suggestions in the $2500 range?? Seems like you can't get full suspension for less than $1700 or can I?
I will be researching over the next month before I make my decision. Unless I spot an insane deal.

Good to know. I noticed a few sales that said they are making room for 2014's but they are only knocking off $150-200. Wondering how low they go. maybe up to $800 off? for a $2000-3000 bike

For sure. No way I wouldn't test ride a $2500 bike before buying. Just trying to narrow down my choices and go to the shops that carry them. I learned the hard way after picking the wrong road bike. Bought another one a year later that fits like it was made for me.

Not a lot of people are aware but Santa Cruz has helped launch a new company that designs bikes geared ONLY for women called Juliana Bicycles.

Pretty much Juliana Bicycles takes everything that is great about SC trail bikes and designs geometry to better suit the female rider.

They VERY nice options for you in the $2500 range.

    Check 'em out here: http://www.julianabicycles.com/

You might even have a dealer near you for a test fit/demo: http://www.julianabicycles.com/dealers/

A couple pics of some of their bikes:

Usually Ive seen around 30% off give or take a little. Could ask for a demo bike as well. The shop I go to is in the 40% range depending on the bike.

I know most of y'all are into xc and all mountain riding in here, but here's a few shots of me and my bud from a pretty sick freeride/DJ session today

Kinda crappy cell phone pics. Would love to get some talented photographer out to shoot some worthwhile pics!

Thanks, I was just looking at Santa Cruz bikes and wondering why they didn't have women's specific. Looks like I can do a 29er with these bikes.

Those would be really good discounts. My experience has been between 20-30%. You should be able to get 10-15% off of MSRP any day on any year model that they have in stock, and once the new ones start arriving, 20-30%.

Check out the newest and final episode of the BFGoodrich Playground Earth Relay! This is one of the coolest ideas in my opinion. They took the same BFG tires and did a relay with top athletes all over the US, after each episode the same 4 tires are passed onto the next athlete to go off road to their destinations! My brother Kyle did the last episode to represent the mtb world :woot:
