I'm anti-Specialized. The way they treat their dealers sucks so I try not to buy their stuff.
My LBS carries very few non-Specialized tires, the Connie being an exception and only where they don't overlap Specialized. If I'm willing to hike, I can find the WTBs.
Grip usually means a softer compound which means quicker wear
Maybe I'll wait for Sea Otter and get some Maxxis off the truck-they usually have tons to pick from on Friday at OK prices.
