ordered a new DB Overdrive 29er. 22" frame so itll be nice for my tall ass. Just getting into it and already hooked. Far inferior than anyone else on here but its becoming one of my favorite things to do.

What do you guys think of this bike (santa cruz bantam) ? after riding a few more intense trails ive started to want a bike with nicer components and full suspension, trying to keep it "near" 2 grand. also looking at specialized camber and giant anthem any opinions welcome

The Anthem 27.5 3 looks like a good buy. It has an air fork, which is a plus. Do you want a 29er? XC style bike? What type of riding do you do?

I call BS on this. Everyone on here is in same place....not the best rider in the world and not the worst so you're right in with the rest of us. The inferior people don't have bikes and don't ride at all. :D

If you go back a page, I posted a Giant Anthem 27.5 3 I bought a couple of weeks ago. My opinion so far, it's awesome compared to my old trek hardtail! It's a great value for what you pay for it. Good components, lightweight, and nimble.

yea i saw, the combination of how sexy that bike was, seeing it in my LBS and getting thrown unceremoniously from my bike a few times is making me consider moving from my $350 diamondback to a nice bike with nicer compenents

Great trails in StL area Noah. All 3 bikes you listed are great contenders. Pick whichever you like best and hopefully test ride some. Also keep in mind which local shop has the best service and vibe. I'd think you'd get better component specs and lighter weight at that pricepoint with Giant or Spesh, but certainly can't argue with SC sex appeal.

That Stance 27.5 looks sweet. Here in the STL area (and within 5 hours), anything more than 120mm is probably overkill.

EDIT: Be careful on the Stance -- it does NOT have the Maestro/DW Link suspension design. You will want the Maestro suspension, so Trance or Anthem would be best.

I have a Fuel EX 9 in great shape with great components for sale right now if you are considering a 26er and ride a large. It's a great deal at this price.

    See you on the trails!
