I would steer away from Diamondback, I ride a Response XE, and while it gets the job done, it leaves much to be desired, especially when my friends are riding sweet bikes. Hopefully upgrading to a Giant Trance X 29er in the fall tho!

Not my bike, but its related to mountainbiking sooo...

Im curious what everyone has as a shuttle set-up? I usually throw a "Rat Rack" on the front and rear and throw some more bikes over the tailgate. This allows for 12 Bikes and people to get a lift to the top! Looking at getting a custom tool box aswell that has handels and snap on cushons on the top to allow for more comfort for the guys sitting in the box, as well as a cargo box on top to allow for additional seating/ geat sorage! any suggestions?

Holy shit you're hauling a lot of bikes. We normally use my taco when only a few of us are riding then use some buddies full size trucks when we have large groups.uploadfromtaptalk1407359077414.jpg

    The better coast
So I have always wondered.....flat bar cx bike vs a ridged mtb. Is the only difference tire clearance?

In a word.... kind of (I know... that's two words). The gearing is also different with a Cyclocross bike (usually) having 2 rings in front as opposed to 3 rings on a MTB. This one is a single speed in front. Tire and wheel size is also different.

Bought it a few months ago from a member on here (Triumphdog) and he had already converted it to a straight bar. I don't cyclocross but I did want a bike that rode like a road bike but I could take on some light trails. Big mistake... I love the bike and the way it rides but it has pretty much been relegated to road use now unless I find a trial along the way. The bike fits me perfectly the way it is set up right now and it is honestly one of the best all around bikes that I've owned. It is truly a joy to ride and it is quick as hell. It tops out well below 20lbs so it should be quick as hell.

    20140802_193707_RichtoneHDR1_zpsb05f23b5_c71af30bedac62a5661c20f6c58a7081228e7eac.jpg

I started racing bikes when I was 5 with BMX and then raced up until my mid 30's until it got to hard to heal after a crash. Started racing mountain bikes in the early 90's but got out of it a few years ago. I've probably owned 30+ bikes since I was racing and was factory sponsored for a while.

After buying the Ridley I came across the Giant Team DH on here and got the fever for jumping again. The Team DH frame is arguably one of the better DH Frames made and it rides great. I just ordered full Shimano Saint groupset for the bike yesterday. BB, cranks, rear cassette, shifter, rear derailleur, front and rear brakes, and rotors. Also ordered a 500lb Spring for the Fox Rear Shock since the 350 is a little light for me. I should have all this stuff in a few days so I can install them by this time next week.

Finally got to go for a ride yesterday since I got the stitches taken out of my hand

I'll start off on the Ridley then run some trails on the Giant. Everything is within riding distance.

Us Ohio downhillers have our stuff together apparently. I took this picture at our local DH track a few weeks ago, I'm the 1st gen on the right.

One of the most unique Toyota shuttle rigs I've seen though is my friend out in Oregon's Tundra. He no longer owns it, but he has done some dope stuff to it. And yes, that roof rack holds bikes on the side of the truck cap
