Not too bad.. Yesterday marked the one week point from surgery, so I've still got a ways to go but at least it's in one piece... My dh bike on the other hand is in many pieces getting all the Whistler mud out of everything. The down time has given me just that. Time to get caught up on projects. Truck is next on the list.

Were you a snitch? There's an old saying from my dad, "Snitches get stitches."

Pretty fucking stupid and embarrassing actually....

I've got a mount for my GPS watch on my bike

    20140625_132751_zps552b9696_4d56d80a524447875f1202fac56b6ad8477e5581.jpg

I decided I wanted to move the mount to the other side of the handle bar. The mount is held on with two zip ties so rather than going out to the garage and grabbing the side cutters I had a pair of scissors handy in the drawer in the kitchen. I was holding the side of the handlebar and had the scissors under the zip tie and was getting ready to cut when it snapped and I stabbed the fucking fuck out of my thumb all the way to the bone. The worst part was getting 6 shots in the wound to deaden it. Got the stitches out Thurs and went for a ride. Thumb is still numb down one side of it where I cut the nerve but if that's the worst that comes out of this then I feel pretty fortunate.

Here's my custom Niner fully rigid singlespeed! Love this thing! I've upgraded the chain to a KMC black and red link... one of these days I need to get an updated picture of it.

Does it compromise the strength of the spokes at all? It no doubt looks sick haha but I am curious
