My old school Schwinn Rocket 88, back when Schwinn made real bikes. Over the years I upgraded to xt derailures, Avid brake levers and oury grips. Primarily do xc riding here in the northeast and I love this bike. She climbs like a mountain goat and handles tight switchbacks and downhills very well. Time for a new seat and I may switch over to avid bb7 disc brakes. I dont know though. I love this ride but shes definately outdated. My buds ride carbon treks and cannondales and my bike looks, well the pic says it all!

    you don't need mountains.

one 15 min from the house has around 2000 ft of climbing.
you don't have to have a mountain to climb and go fast in the dirt
