After searching and not finding anything these last few years,
I decided to make my own 1/10th scale R/C body of a 2nd gen Tacoma.

So I cut up some foam, made holes for the clay to stick.

    and started smearing....

made some wheel well guides.. and more clay is needed...

pics to come,if the site would work... and more if this turns out decent lol:D

more clay, more shaping.. and some outlines

some trial and error and more error

    made a new base

got the dimensions pretty close and layed out some lines to start making the fender

Still need to find some better foam for the cab, but thats not going to be anytime soon, i'm learning as I go

scrapped the other mold and made the whole truck, the scale was going to be a pain I thought.

So after learning what not to do, I made this and covered it in a thin layer of clay.

    more clay coming soon

Made a fender, but ended up doing surgery on the front.
It was a little long so I had to cut off some of the foam.
Overall the dimensions are pretty close.

Every art store was closed yesterday so I didn't get any more clay to build the hood/grille back up  (yes I will try making it a satoshi, but it may not allow for a good release from the mold, not sure yet)

FYI: the wheelbase on this is 12"-13" , so it should fit most 1/10 scale.
there is a printed wheel in there too ;)

EDIT: added some pics, made the rear fender.. not sure how I like it.
Maybe when I get more practice on the other side I can come back and fix this.

It's starting to really shape up, keep us up to date on this, I'm very interested. All the new stadium bodies look like someone stepped on them.

roughed out the bed area, it will be shallow, not sure how it will form later down the line.

    OH look I stole a tailgate! :D

and then I'll satoshi this grill ;)

almost done with the driver side fenders

but still a work in progress.

Now the hard part of adding the detail and making it all symmetrical.

Looking good, I'm still in. Rear shock towers are gonna be a problem, and most likely the fronts, but I'm still following closely.

This has been collecting dust since Diablo 3 came out :D

anyways, I ended up getting an SCX10 Honcho

I think im hooked on crawling haha

Overall I think the clay model will fit on the Honcho, might be a little narrow though.
Probably widen the fenders a bit to make it look/fit better.

It may take more time to get back into the clay because I wanted to give scale bumper, slider, cage making a try.

Heres an attempt on a rock slider replacement for the scx10

Still need to clean it up, and braze it. Then see what I got.
