Anyone else using vanguard? I just started a few months ago and wanted to get some input from someone who has used it for a few years about how its worked for them.

I've used them for years through work. Been happy with them although, like the rest of the market over the past several year, performance is not what it was in the past decades.

Outside of work, I use the $7 trade... Now if there was no spread in the buy and sell price....

Vanguard is one of the best, especially if you believe in the investing philosophy of indexing. What do you use them for? Taxable investing? Ira/Roth Ira? ETFs? The Vanguard brokerage platform is free if you use it to buy their ETFs. If you do a lot of trading and have substantial assets the Wells Fargo wellstrade seems to be the best brokerage platform.

The most important part of investing: make a plan, actually do the plan, ignore the noise.
