Hey guys, I'm pretty new here, I am planning on eventually lowering my 2007 5-lugger. Got to pick out some nice rims first, though...

 

2tr is 2nd gen spec. Variable valve timing, factory tubular header, new head design, block, and internals

the POS dealership did with me. As soon as they saw I lowered it, they said my suspension warranty was out the window. They said they could fix it for a price but I looked at them and just smiled.
"No worries, I got that"

 

imo rims won't matter. what you need to find out is the drop you want and then get rims.

Worse case scenario - you get rims, BUT want a drop that means you need to cut to have the rims/tires clear .. what do you do? willing to cut? don't want to cut? things like that nature.

Tire size is dspendent of tire as well

 

true, you can find out the overall size by adding in rim diameter with tire diameter - 18" rim and 225/40/18 tires = total diameter of 25.08'' something like that.

I like the look of some nice concave wheels or a wheel with a lip whether all around or just the rear but agreed its easier to make a wheel and tire fit the drop than to make the drop fit the wheels and tires but

What size wheel you looking to go with 18, 19, 20
And more so you planning to keep a stock height tire or possibly go smaller or taller tire

Stock height tire or close to it for a 18 be 225/50/18 or 245/45/18 or a lil taller 255/45/18

19 be 225/45/19 245/40/19 or lil taller 255/40/19

Then the pattern continues for 20s 225/40/20 245/35/20 or 255/35/20

But also ifmu run a fatter wheel like Phil in the rear you can run 275mm wide just the series will be slightly different

To complement:

225÷25.4= 8.858" (wide) x .40= 3.543" (half of sidewall height) x 2= 7.0866" (total sidewall height) + 20" = 27.0866" total diameter.

255÷25.4= 10.039" x 35% = 3.51" x 2 = 7.072" + 20" = 27.072"

There kit is with a top mount because they get phat hood scoops so it's like a subi style
Makes it useless when you like me and don't got a scoop....

At least I believe that's how I saw it on their YouTube video

 

You can always plumbb to a front mount. And Gadget dropped his price s/c is only 4650 now

 

Yeah true I'd prolly just ask em if they be able to mock up a front mount possibly I can imagine shipping is ridiculous for it though since its international

Hey guys, i'm guessing the 4x4 trolls aren't hanging in here now that it's 96 pages long, does anyone have a lowered DCSB 4x4? TundraRacing kit i'm assuming...

DCLB's kind of look a little strange to me with the kit, maybe the shortbox doesnt?
