Why? You having issues understanding what I've told you? The seat belt mount holes, the only in the cab on that side do not match the seat rail mount. Its really that simple.

If a bolt in notch is really 80 percent weaker than the original frame, there is no way in hell I am going that route.

Wonder what info he used for this, height of frame, thickness, length moments are happening post notch, etc. etc. People have been selling bolt ons for decades and I have yet to hear of one failing.

I am not sure but I am sure most people that use the bolt ons don't really put their truck through a lot of stress. I still wanna use my truck as a truck. I am not knocking anybody with a bolt on, i just like looking at information on notches and seeing the different strengths.

You have to compare this to the test parameters he was using as well. Did he factor in the frame size, material type, notch thickness, bolt grades, etc. etc. I have had multiple welders, camping gear, dana axles, and a motor with engine stand in the back of my truck since my notch.

I am not sure of his test parameters. I was mainly talking about the difference in designs and how they vary in strength. Plus those are Chevy frames, its kinda hard to compare to a Toyota frame. lol

Exactly, depending on the year of chevy he was basing that off of can go either way in comparison to our frames..... I'm not saying it's wrong but I am arguing that with the limited info he has given on the write up I would take it with a grain of salt.

I am just looking for a design I like. These two would be ideal in my mind.

Gonna make it tight under there. Why you need a notch anyways, not like you are going any lowerdzed anytime soon.

Hopefully, I would like some clearance so I could soften up the QA1s also.
