i have a step-side on my truck as well. im not sure if you've seen you bed without the bumper, but the rear side steps just end.

so you would either have to shave the entire rear step, or reconfigure the rear step so that instead of just end like that it gradually molds into the bed. that might not make sense but it did in my head lol.

heres a couple pics of a step-side with the rear steps shaved...

the bumper or the rear step? if your talking about the rear step, it is molded in with the bed. the only way to get it off is to cut it
