Gonna be visiting my brother tomorrow, who is the current owner of the SupraTruck. I will have the privilege of racing the truck this coming Saturday so I wanted to start a dedicated thread to post my videos and pics.

    Some build info: http://www.supratrucks.com/S-Runner 2JZGTE.htm

Current Location of Truck: Maui, Hawaii

EDIT: I will only be doing 1/8 mile runs since there's no rollbar/cage. Truck has already done 115mph traps with my bro driving on street tires.

Disclaimer: I do not live in the same state as the truck, nor is it mine. This thread is simply for posting updates on its current state.

First update. Saw and drove the truck. Amazing. Still have some issues with tuning after having to revert to pumpgas tunes. But truck still runs pretty good on base tune. Cruising is a little choppy.

Traction bar mounting bracket is bent on drivers side. Pinion gear has excessive backlash. And trans is leaking oil at the shifter.

Heading to the track in a few hours so we shall see what she can do.

Alright. Where do i start? First off, i got four runs in but i shutdown early on every run.

    Runs went like this:
1st: 5k clutch dump, spin, let off, missed second, shutdown near 1000ft.
    2nd: 4k slipped clutch, turbo not spooled, 2.1 60ft, 8.3 @ 94mph in 1/8, shutdown and hard on brakes by 1000ft, 13.4 @ 64mph 1/4.
    3rd: 6k slipped clutch, 1.8 60ft, missed second, 8.3 @ 92mph, popped/nosedive in 4th then shutdown, some brakes, 13.3 @ 80mph.
4th: My all out intended run. 6k slipped clutch, 1.8 60ft, breaking up/stuttering shutdown part way through second. Called it a night.

Needless to say, truck needs to be tuned. Also the exhaust slipped off after the downpipe from launching too hard. To my knowledge, that was the first time the truck had good tires and a very aggressive launch. The 295 MT drag radials were fighting to hold on during the last two launches.

Unfortunately no video was taken. Truck will be getting the 3rd member rebuilt and EMS tuned.

Upcountry. My bro dont drive it much. If anything, its to work and back once a month. He has an IS350 with carbon hood as a daily driver and a lifted supercharged tacoma. Both of which run 13's.

Gonna be taking more pics and some videos to post. Just need to decide which of the five wheelsets i wanna put on...

Returned to Maui last week for the last round of drag racing. Truck was unfortunately in same running condition as 2 years ago. Brother/owner has been working 70+ hrs a week almost non-stop. Waiting on 1320 Performance to install chassis dyno for legit dyno tune session. 1320 performance did help us tune the drivability of the truck so its not a struggle to cruise anymore. Also came to conclusion that one of the two 255 fuel pumps is done. Explains the sudden loss in fueling at high RPM last time around. Past 6000 RPM, a/f ratio rises rapidly from 11.5:1 to 15:1. Pending on available free time and dyno tuning, truck will be seen/raced at earliest Memorial Day races 2017. New fuel pump and possibly roll bar (NHRA legal to 10.99) are also on the to-do list.

Picture with drag radials out back and new set of black chrome RPF1 fronts.

    What a sleeper!
Funny how a truck this sweet gets 10 comments and the "look at my new antenna" post gets 100. I dont get it.

Why do you need a cage to run 1/4 mile?
    We run without them here.

    Edit: 10.99 times?

Based on the truck doing 94 mph in the 1/8 on a terrible launch (2.1sec 60ft), we estimate the truck will be very close, if not in the 10's on a good pass. Call it planning.

For reference, we had a Trans Am that did 11.6's@116mph in the 1/4 mile with a 1.6sec 60ft and 92mph at the 1/8. This truck has much more power and has never ran 100% in our possession.

OP, what is your 1/8 mile ET? My Camaro's numbers look like this:

    60': 1.598
    660' speed: 98.83 MPH
    660' ET: 7.003
    1320' speed: 122.32 MPH
    1320' ET: 11.002

A roll bar is required at 11.49 and is good till 10.00. 9.99 and quicker you need a cage with an NHRA chassis cert.

It was a full swap/conversion/upgrade. Look at the first post for the build.
