if im not mistaken that's the spring perch, i don't know of anyone that has used it on a regular 5 lug, but the kit is pretty durable and good, although it's not the best drop option handling wise. with 2" blocks and low pro bumps you probably won't bottom out that much.

i would like to lower it like yours, im on a tight budget,i haul stuff sometimes,400ex mostly, so i cant go too low and i dont want to notch the frame,i thought about that kit with some xrunner wheels, which are for some reason hard to find around here,i need the wheels first because the tires i got now would rub if i lowered it first.ive got the 15s with some oversized tires, the fronts are close now when i turn.

that's why i mentioned handling. it uses your stock spring, so it keeps your stock spring rate, and only lowers your center of gravity, as well as compressing the strut, vs say upping the spring rate, which would help with the actual handling of the truck. I am not saying this is a bad kit, just explaining what i meant.

I work on semi trucks, a peterbilt truck has a aluminum block on the front leaf spring, but its not a pure aluminum its like a alloy. They hold thousands of pounds for a while, but once the road salt and some age takes over ive seen them come in cracked or with pieces missing, thats what i would be worried about with this kit, corrosion.

yep the main beef about aluminum blocks that i have is the way theyre made...and the quality of aluminum that theyre made of.

most aluminium blocks you find are like the second example in ryan's post. the pins in the middle have a nice tendency to shear off lol
