2010 DC OR All Pro Suspension Upgrade

Hey Ya'll,

My first post here so be nice. After searching for a few months I can't seem to find exactly what i'm looking for.

I want to upgrade the front suspension to the All Pro Long Travel kit (http://www.allprooffroad.com/05tacom.../05tacomaltkit), plus Spindle Gussets (http://www.allprooffroad.com/05tacom...spindlegussets).

The rear I was going to go with the AP 3" leafs (http://www.allprooffroad.com/05tacom...omaleafsprings) and the U-Bolt flip kit (http://www.allprooffroad.com/05tacom...sion/05flipkit)

What my question is; if i go with a 12.5" wide tire am i going to have to replace the front fairings to deal with the extra 2" from the suspension and the increased tire width? Does anyone have pics of this setup showing the increased width?

If this thread is out there already, can someone point me in the correct direction. (besides telling me that the search feature is in the top right corner)

That will be a good first setup. I would also recommend replacing the shocks out back too.

as for the fronts, Im assuming that a 12.5 wide tire is a 35..... if it is, you can run that with the stock fenders and flares but if you go wheeling, you will more than likely tear off the flares. To avoid any trouble at all you can order the 2" wider fenders from AP. They fit OK and will avoid any rubbing/tearing of stock flares.

yea, i have been picking up a LOT of OT at work lately. They dont offer it much and its easy so i gotta take it when i can. I have been at work more than i am at home, and when i am at home, i go to the gym and sleep. my 70 hours a week will be done soon though and ill be back!

To the OP,

There are a few people who run a 12.5 tire on AP LT and it works just fine. Remember when you go that wide though your most likely going to have to chop the cab mounts to clear your tires at full turn.

I plan on getting this same set-up. Definitley get the fox shock for the front and rear. Also does anybody know what the actual tire size recommended is?

I have not seen anyone that has not ripped off their fender flares with 12.5" tires and AllPro Long Travel suspension... can someone point out a thread or individual that has not had issues? I have not seen this.

I'm running AP's LT kit and leaf pack in the rear, with 305/65/17 tires, and stock fender flares.

I had to do lots of trimming in the fender wheel, and my flares are popped off (zip tied back on). The suspension will flex beyond the point of pushing the fender flares off.

AP's fiberglass front fenders are the next thing on my list of things to buy.

Chase,

I have my flares on with Silly Cone - 3M black. Works like a charm for the last 20k and I wheel my fair share - certainly a hell of a lot better than those idiotic clips. I used about 1.5 tubes (caulking gun tubes) per wheel arch and have never had a problem since. I did scuff up the inside of the flare and the non-exposed area of the fenders. I figure even if they did pop off, I'd be able to 'glue' them back on with just a little silicon.
