How do you measure your height after lift your truck

Hi all . first of all I loved this site I have been reading a lot threads of yours but I don't know how do you measure your lift kit of your truck , from the ground to fender or from ground to running boards. I got 09 DB 4x4 SR5 with 5100 set at 1.75" and TSB ( 4 leaf springs done at dealer ) . After measure on both side from ground to fender I got front at 37" and rear at 37 1/2 " . Im now thinking to get AAL , please tell me should I add this mod or not . I appreciate all your inputs.

 

The proper measurement for suspension lift is from the hub to the fender. Measuring from the ground to the fender includes the height from tires (and if you add larger ones that might skew your result)

Are you happy with how the truck looks or do you want more lift in the rear??

 

You measure you truck stock first. Then after lift measure. Measure it from center of rim to fender. That eliminates considering tire size.

 

You might need new upper control arms to get your alignment right. I said "might" cause some people dont seem to need them but others do.

 

Thanks for your fast replies. I loved the ride of the current set up OK I just measure again from the center of the front wheel to fende I got 22" and rear 22 1/2" . If I lift my truck to 2 1/2" what else should I get just for normal driving but I do off road few times. Thanks again

 

I see Toytec have 1" AAL and 1.5" AAL which one should I get ? I just wanna level my truck with the rear higher a bit .
