need help ome 885/5100s??

im sure this has been asked before but couldnt find any info. i have a 10' trd dc 4x4. i have billy 5100s and im thinking of getting the ome 885s to get some more lift up front. i want a nice ride and not too stiff. i have the rear tsb done already and have 5100s in the rear. if i set the billys at 0 preload and install the ome 885 im thinking ill get about a 3" lift up front? will i need to raise the rear too? anyone have this set up? thanks in advance for the help. my main goal is to clear 285s on my procomp wheels w/ 4.5 bs and i heard setting the billys at 2.5 is a harsh ride?

yes you will need to raise the rear unless you like bro lean.. a 1.5" toytec aal will work fine

I have the OME 885's with top plate spacer and 5100's all around with a 2" rear AAL. I love the ride!!! Its a little stiffer up front but its still a great ride from stock. Truck sits perfectly level. Dont go with the 884's cause of the weight of your DC. 884's are more for AC's.

do you have the rear tsb done and the 2" aal? if i have the rear tsb should i get the 1.5" aal? or just leave it w/ the tsb?

No I did not get the TSB done to my truck. I just got 2" AAL's for the rear. Toytec makes AAL's for the rear TSB, you should look into getting those for your truck so you would sit more level.

Yes, those are the spacers that come with the kit.
i already have the tsb, so im guessing i should also get the 1.5 aal too?

Correct. Get the ones that were designed for the rear TSB. So yeah, the 1.5" ones.

is there any need for diff drop spacers? sway bar bracket? or rear drive line shims? i imagine the angles are ok going this route with the cvs? i know ill be pushing the limits of the alignment but i do plan on getting uca's in the future.

I wouldn't bother w/ the diff drop, it only lowers the rear of the diff and won't help you that much. I don't run a sway bar so no need for brackets, but if you want to run the sway youll need them. no shims here and it wheels just fine, no axle wrap at all.

cool thanks, only reason i ask is because i have a pretty bad drive line vibration right now before and after the tsb upon acceleration. just wondering if it will worsen when i add the 1.5 aal. thanks again for everyones input it really helped me out!

I added the diff drop kit just cause. It isnt going to hurt anything so thats why I installed it on my truck.

I use to run this on my Access Cab
OME 885 w/1/2" spacer
bilstein 5100s
Toytec TSB 1.5" AAL

truck ran fine... was stiffer than stock but still good...

You will need to UCAs with this set up as you alignment will not be within spec
