Lifting my 2010 need help.

im putting a 3" lift kit in my truck next week to put larger tires on...Im getting Mickey Thompson MTZs. but heard that their 285/70/17 might be bigger than others. I can't do any cutting so what tire size would be good, i heard 32.5" MAX.

 

those tires measure 33.1" which is like 0.3" taller than most other 285's. really, a quarter inch of overall heigth isnt going to make that much difference (which is only about 1/8" taller from the wheel center)

if you dont want to trim/cut at all, go with a 265/70/17. personally, i would stick with the 285's

Even with a 3" lift and if your looking at 32"-33" tires, you will need to do some minor trimming up front and possibly take your front mud flaps off. The trimming party is fairly simple and can be easily done with a Dremel.
