Broken Leafs
I'm a Ford guy at heart but I'm trying to help my dad with his 96 Tacoma Extended cab 4x4. It has the 2.7L 4 cyl. a 5 speed manual trans. and a manual transfer case. In the past 11 years he has broken 2 pairs of leaf springs. I have no idea what he has been hauling but at 350 and 550 each from the dealer it's getting to be an expensive habit.
So does anyone know if there is an aftermarket company that makes springs for a stock ride height or if the TRD springs from a later model are any better? If the TRD springs are better does anything have to be modified? Thanks in advance. Bill |
