1st Gen Taco - Using Tundra front coil springs

I'm not sure if anyone is aware of this, but a good way to get a nice 3 inch lift(at least) is to take a front coil spring from a 2003 access cab Tundra w/the TRD offroad package. My co-worker put them on his 2004 double cab V6 Taco and got a 3 inch lift just from the coils up front. I plan on putting some on my 01 access cab 4 cyl, planning on 3.5+

Anybody else have any experience w/these?

 

You don't think they'll be to stiff? I have a 4cyl aswell and have been looking for lift options

Awesome bro! Good find! Stiff is good! Not sure if 1st gen will operate the same, but, when I designed my front suspension for my 2nd gen, I over rated the weight load on the springs by 275lbs, literally rides better than neighbor's Mercedes GL SUV! Literally, I can even run over speed bumps at speed and there is no recoils! No bounce! I'd try it for sure. Just my 2 pennies worth
