if you google 1/4 elliptical and/or buggy leaf suspension, numerous pictures will show up. You could also search around on pirate 4x4 and see plenty of examples.

no one is going to offer a kit for you, so i hope you can fab/weld.

it is not anywhere near as much work as having to fully cage your bed.

it all depends on what your application/type of wheeling will be. Buggy leaf setups can also be pinned for on-road use to make maneuvering on pavement more predictable.

i've done buggy leafs for a few people on jeep cherokees and they flex/droop as good if not better than coilovers. Uptravel most likely, will not be quite as good as coilovers or coils, but it would be pretty close once the suspension is tuned.

1/4 elliptical will be closer to coilovers, but requires links. You can get away with anti wrap bars on a buggy setup as long as it is low speed wheeling.

overall, it sounds like you need to perhaps buy a book on suspension geometry and read up as well as search around on various 4wd forums and take it all in. It is super easy to screw up your truck by not researching and improperly engineering a home-brew setup.

    no problem.

depends on what kind of coil/coilover/leaf setup you use, what bits are in the way of mounts and how much articulation you want. You'll lose a portion of it to shock towers for LT at the very least.
