Using Bilstein 5100s with OME 885 coils?

Using Bilstein 5100s with OME 885 coils?

Has any one used or is using the Bilstein 5100s and OME 885 coils together? I know it is only recommended at the stock height setting. I am wondering if anyone has used this combination at a higher setting. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you do a little hunting you'll find a good deal of information available on this already. I'm about to install 5100s and 885 coils this weekend. From what I've gathered, though it is recommended to run the 5100 at 0 (which will also yeild the most "plush" ride with this combination) it is possible to run the shocks at .85 - though it seems to be back and forth about whether UCAs are necessary at that point or not.
I am a bit worried that my nose will be a little low after the install of this front end setup and the 2" AAL, but right now I'm not interested in adding the control arms just so I can gain that next half an inch.

Yes, I ran this system... worked fine... bilstein 5100 set at "0" get new UCAs

I had to use the 1/2" spacer to get a full 3"

btw, i ran 1.5" AAL with TSB leafs

you sure can. i have 5100's set at .85 with 885 coils ONLY no top spacer. here's mine i do have UCA's tho, like stated above

If you are going with 885's, why would you want to add more height? You will be at around 3" already with 885's.

the coils alone only give you about 2.5" of lift and after they sagg you'll end up with less. i took out my 1/4" spacer, after my coils sagged, and set my shocks to .85 to compensate. im sittin just over 3" now

Thank you everyone for the gobbs of info... To explain my situation I am currently running the OME 885s w/ 2" rear AAL and rear spring TSB so I was already high in the rear, and now after sag in the front Im sitting way low in the front. So i am hoping to better level out my truck with the 5100s set at .85 and the 885s. I also need some improved shocks over the stock TRD Bilstein shocks with extended travel.

I was under the impression OME fixed the sag issue? I have seen members report sagging on the older version of the springs. Not the newer ones. How long have you had them? I am curios as I always roll a OME lift around in my head.

You must have had older springs. All the nwer 885's I have seen give 3" on Prerunners. maybe a little less on a 4x4

ALL springs will sag over time... maybe im just a fat ass (6' 200lb), but i ordered my OME lift last year and ended up with less than 3", even with the top spacer....

If I only wanted 2" of lift on my Double cab, should I go with the 884s? I dont want to be more than 2" higher at all. I cant figure out what to do!
