Now when you say "3 inch lift", does that mean it only lifts 3" or i can go 1,2 or 3"? Cause i only want like an inch or two to clear 265/75s and still be good off road. (i live in arizona desert terrain)

i have 265/75R16 and no lift what so ever! you can’t go any bigger with out lift or rubbing. but you can fit 265/75 with no lift at all.

So i have a 2009 tacoma TRD off road edition 4x4 v6 double cab. looking at getting a 3" lift. I've heard that spacers and blocks aren't all that great. I'm thinking about going with this option for toytec ( )

Will this give me the 3" lift i need in the front and a good lift in the rear? if anyone has pictures of their 3" lift i'd def appreciate it :) It was either this option or the revtek spacers/block kit.

also, with this set up, do i need the UCA? how is the handling with a 3" lift?

any input is greatly appreciated. thank you!

You can adjust them anywhere from stock to 3", but as Zach noted, you don't need any lift at all for 265/75s
That's a good choice for a lift. If you set the fronts to 3" you will likely need new ucas to get your caster in spec

Great posts, thanks to all who have contributed. I have been reading a lot of threads and posts about lifting, etc and I still have a question. I have a 2010 4x4 DC. I do not have (or qualify for) the tsb so I definitely want to install an aal as I will be pulling a travel trailer. So with the aal, I will want to level the truck. From what I can tell the aal will add about 1", right? So if I get the 5100's I can adjust the front up to level. Looking at Toytec offerings they have a kit with an aal and front coilovers for a "3inch" lift. But does the aal really add that much height? Are there different aals?

I wouldn't mind a moderate 2" lift but not sure what to order for this or if I will need the diff drop as well for 2" lift.

    Thanks for any advice!

Toytec offers a 1.5" and a 2" AAL. With 3" front lift, the 2" AAL will get you about level

Hey man. Love the info on here. I just joined up here and was wondering if you could give your opinion of the toytec ultimate lift kit. I am thinking about ordering it and getting it put in on mine. I just started to make some mods to my 2011 Taco.
I was thinking of getting the OME shocks with the kit instead of the 5100 bilsteins to give myself a little more stroke on the shocks (about a 1/2 in more from what I am told). I figured that with setting the kit to 3" that I would be pretty much maxing out the 5100 bilstein shocks and only having an inch of the shock to work with. I am also considering getting the OME springs as well.

    What do you think?

    Thanks for the input man.

I don't think you can substitute the OME shocks into the Toytec ULK

I installed the toytec lift on my 96. I think its great. We have been wheeling at Rousch Creek Off Road Park a few times now and I am very happy. There are lots of rocks, hills and terrain that tests the suspension and I have been surprised at what I can get through and get over.

Sounds like you want the OME lift & it's a good choice. I love mine with 885s & Dakars.

Thanks to all for the great thread and help to all us newbies out there. Have a quick question. I just picked up some used OME 883 coils and have had some 5100's waiting in the wings for over 5 months now. I hear the 883's will lift the front around 1.5", but I was wondering if I could set the 5100's to .85" to gain a little more height. Thanks for any advice.
