Best I got after 2.5" lift on a DCLB 4WD with stock UCAs was 1.3* of caster. Barely "in spec" and drove like ass.

    Maybe with a spindle lift?

I have a full 3" OME lift with stock UCAs. Caster is just out of spec but it drives fine.
It depends on how much you lift it.

I've heard that anything over 2.4 is good. I could be wrong, but that should be feasible with stock uca's

I have been looking around on the web and cant seem to find too many sites that sell the Eibach springs, any suggetions on which site has them for the best price? Prob going to be Toytec but figured I would ask. Also I saw a thread that said in like October of last year these springs were on backorder, are they still on backorder?

This is really good info, thank you guys. I do have a question or two...

    1) I am thinking about installing the Bilstein 5100 Racing series shocks front and rear including a 1" or 1.5" spacer in the back and setting the fronts to maybe 1.75" or 2.5". Will I need anything else with this set up to avoid coil bucket contact or would I need the diff drop spacers like in the 1st gen tundras?

    2) Would I need to replace the coil springs too?

quick question.. only because i havent seen anyone talk about it. when you lift your truck i would assume you would have to lengthen the part that attaches to the steering linkage is this true? just makes sense to me.. if not then im over thinking some things..

Will someone please spare me 21 pages of reading and help me out?

My mechanical skills/knowledge are maxed out at oil changes. I could probably get my brother to do the labor if this isn't extremely complicated.

That said, I have an '08 DC TRD OR and I want to get a 3" lift. Les Schwab offers a lift kit from Tuff Country(I think) for $621 total. I think it's this...

    http://www.suspensionconnection.com/cgi-bin/suscon/52907.html

Does anyone here recommend Tuff Country or should I avoid this kit?

Also, it seems the majority here prefer Bilstein 5100's. Am I correct in thinking this involves replacing only shocks on the front then adding an AAL for the back...or is it more complicated than that?

I admit I am ignorant on these things, so I appreciate any help I can get. Thanks in advance.

To my knowledge toytec is the only authorized dealer of eibachs. They were the only place I was able to order mine.

    1) Don't bother with the diff drop!
    2) Coils will improve ride but isn't necessary
    3) you shouldn't have any issue with coil bucket contact
    4) setting 5100's at 1.75 w/tsb pack will put you at a level stance so its up to you if you want to add lift to the rear (if you want rake then I recommend it)

Let me try this again...I need help...please...

I have an '08 TRD OR DC and I want a 3" lift.

Am I right in thinking this kit would be all I need?

Also, what do you guys recommend for the rear option?

    Rear Options: Choose below
TAC-AL Toytec standard 2" lift add-a-leafs with anti friction pads
TAC-AL-TSB Toytec TSB 1.5" add-a-leafs for use with 4 leaf rear springs
    1 1/2" blocks with U-bolts
    1" blocks with U-bolts
    C476 rear Bilstein 5100 shocks

    Thanks in advance

The kit will be fine. It's pretty much what I'm running. Don't put the diff drop in it will do nothing for you, and I'd go with the aal. The 2" aal is for non tsb springs; the 1.5 aal is for the tsb springs.

I've been seeing some people say use the diff drop and some saying not needed. I am putting a 3" suspension lift on my 00 Taco, should I use the diff drop or or is it a waiste of time to install it.

Do it on a first gen. Second gens are basically pointless do do a diff drop, but you should on a 1 gen

Don't quote me but I think the diff drop is beneficial on the 1st gens.

If I go to a 3" lift and run 285/75/16 on my stock TRD OR rims will I need to spend a couple hundred on spacers too?

Is this the recommended spacer...1.25" spidertrax hub centric spacers?

Is there no other option than to buy spacers?
