    Thanks for the quick response!

FYI: I have already installed Air Lifts on the rear to help with towing loads and they work great! ... but the truck is raked down to the front a little too much for my liking.

It was the question that addressed the front suspension and levelling out the truck that I was seeking an answer to...

So, from what I understand, I can install 5100s on the front set at 1.75" (using the stock springs), and that will/should level out the truck. I will still get the same great ride, I won't need UCA's, but I should still check the alignment after.

    Right?

... Oh! .... and I should grease the whole assembly with some maple syrup as well. :p

You'll like the 5100's. Everybody and their sister is running them, and I have yet to hear a bad thing.

I have a 1/4" spacer on my driver's side and am going to get a 1/2" to put there and move the 1/4 to the passenger side. I plan to do the extended top plate bolts when I do this. Can I change the studs without disassembling the coilovers?

Shouldn't be more than $60 for bench time and take 30 minutes at any good shop. I pulled mine, drove to the shop, and got everything all reassembled in an afternoon.

Hey guys looking for about 3 inches of lift and to keep at least the stock rake while upgrading my suspension to take a bumper and a winch. From what I read in the op the springs are the important part here for the extra weight but those won't lift the truck will they? The shocks lift the truck? So will I need springs and shocks then? I will also then need an add a leaf it sounds like. Will I have to replace the shocks in the rear? Also I see people talking about adjustable coilovers. Does this mean you can adjust your list from say 3 in to 6in?

Springs lift the truck, not shocks. The shocks control the motion of the truck. If you get 5100's you can use your stock front coils. They provide lift using the stock coils by pre-loading the coils via an adjustable spring perch. If you lift the rear you will also need extended rear shocks. Most aftermarket coilovers are only adjustable from 0"-3" lift. Only 6" lifts are DB lifts. Or doing 3" suspension and another 3" body lift on top of that.

Can the stock studs handle a 1/2" spacer?

It didn't look like there would be nearly enough "usable" thread left after the install, and everyone I talked to said no. That's certainly not a spot you want to skip on positive thread engagement throughout the entirety of the nuts. I bit the bullet and installed the longer studs.

Thanks. I didn't think it would work. I'm indecisive as all hell haha I would rather have 886s on Nitros but until then I'm trying to remedy my current situation

So...with my 5100s set at 0 with 887 coils I netted a full 3" front lift measured from hub to fender, AND my alignment was in spec (I will provide numbers later- currently don't have them with me)! No need for UCA at this time. Amazing. The ride is way nicer than stock, my truck soaks up the ruts/bumps/woops out on the dirt. Anyone considering 885s that had sliders and want more of a 3" lift may consider this route. It was what Yota Dan recommended and I love the look and the ride of my new lift! It did rub the front mini flap thingy at full turn so I removed it but otherwise no rubbing at all. Haven't measured the rears yet, but the 1.5" Wheelers HD AAL set makes it look level. You should have seen my face when I initially measured after installing the lift- I had netted about 4" and I freaked. But once I drove it around and took it off road on a mild fire road, it settled nicely. So....maybe 887s will be a new trend?

    5100s/887 coils- netted 3" lift.
Here are the alignment specs done at a local tire shop with a "brand new machine". Seems almost too good to be true…Am I crazy? Or did I give up the toe to get the camber in spec?
