It settled to 3" total front and rear. I found the ride to be pretty stiff with my PSI up at 35 all around. Took it down to 32 all around and the ride is sweet, and I've broken them in with trail driving. Perfect blend of stiffness and softness to feel like a real truck! Before it felt like a boat/sedan (too soft and bouncy for me). The lift made it super nose high until I did the 1.5" HD AAL set on top of my 3 leaf OEM pack (stock off road bilsteins, not aftermarket). Now it's level. I chose the 887s under YotaDan's advice because of my weight up front (beefy BAMF sliders and Relentless IFS skid), he wanted me to get my full 3". And I am running stock UCAs, haven't noticed any wandering issues.

Can't help you with wheels but Goodyear Duratracs are pretty nice, beefy tires. 265-70-17 or 265-75-16 are about a 32" tire.

Look for rims on ebay. That's where I found some good ones for cheap.

Just read through the OP and trying to confirm some things.

A 3" coilover lift will reduce travel comppared to factory suspension? Is that a good or bad thing?

The only way to increase ground clearance is with bigger tires?

Also the OP said the 3" lift and 285s is mainly for aesthetics, is stock suspension and 265s considering good for most off-roading purposes?

The 3" lift will only give you 1" more travel. Look around and don't be afraid to ask questions about stuff. Icon has extended travel coilovers for the front that are supposed to be really good, but they are expensive. There are a ton of options out there you can put together to make what ever you want. And again don't be afraid to ask questions.

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
There's a lot to consider in what product you'll use to get lift, and what benefits or negative effects that product may have. You need to have a budget in mind. What will the truck be used for.

The lift doesn't reduce travel, per se. It does reduce the amount of down travel though. There's only so far the front end can drop so if you lift it, you lose some of the down travel.

Yeah Im thinking for now I will stay stock suspension. Its mostly a daily driver with some beach driving, and off-roading a few times a year.

    What do you mean?

Can I do a 3" coilover lift and set it at factory height?

As long as you get adjustable coilovers you can.

You will see on coilovers that they will say adjustable from 0 to whatever the max is. So you should be able to adjust them and level out your truck without doing to much more, I would recommend changing out your rear shocks to 5100s too. I got the 3" to 4" above stock 5100s and put them on today to go with my all pro expo leafsprings.

Nice, how hard was it to install? Did you need to drop your front diff?

I cant seem to see the difference in the two I linked previously, they both say adjustable with 5100ss, but one is $300 less.

I only did the rear so the front diff didn't come in to play at all.
I picked them up at toytec and the guys there were really nice.
If you aren't sure what you want just give them a call and talk to them.
They will help you figure out exactly what you want or need then ship it to you.
I have only gone about 2 1/2" in the front so I didn't do a diff drop yet. But since my back end is about 4" I'm going to have to go with longer coilovers in front and that will make me get a diff drop to keep the angles right so I'm not tearing CV boots.
I'm dreading the diff drop cause then I need a different skid plate made for the diff drop and the skid plate I have on now is only a few months old.
So take it from me and think way ahead to what you want it to be so you don't over spend in the long run.

The Dakers? I was gonna just get the aal because for now I will be using this setup just to level, so I wasnt gonna do anything to the rear beyond replacing the shocks.

Is it hard to adjust by yourself?
