Anyone had any experience with these...King Coilovers

looking to add a 3 inch lift

found these on ebay....King Coil Over replacement shocks

what do you guys think...anyone had these....reviews?....any advice for what to raise 3 inch....and how to raise....2007 Tacoma Sport 4x4....diff btwn revtek and coil overs

Ive been in a 1st gen with them and they are loads better than stock

 

can't go wrong with king, there are many members here running king OE coilovers

A quick question about these coil overs.....do they change the camber of the tire?

Those are freaking HOT! I've got a 2011 DC Off Road ordered which should be here in a few weeks. Already ordered my full King system. Can't wait to put it together!

 

now that is some badass suspension ... just add a pair of uca's and spindles and you have yourself a damn good mid-travel set-up

 

If you run them at stock height then no, if u crank them up any bit they will knock ur alignment out, so u need to get realigned, it's like that with any lift

 

Would you be willing to expand on your comment "a harsher ride than I anticipate" ? I've already ordered my King's and was hoping that it would be a more plush ride than stock. Can you give me a quick compare/contrast between the stock ride qualtiy & the King ride quality? Before I install everything I want to make sure it is going to give me the ride I'm looking for. Thanks in advance for your help, you have a great looking truck!

 

its gonna give u a great OFF ROAD ride.... i think with most after market COs they are gonna give u the same ride.... I have the same setup and it is a little stiffer and i would suggest not to have them cranked super high... are u looking for off road or on road capabilities...

any coilover cranked up will ride stiffer on road, but the truck will feel tighter in the turns...

if you leave them cranked down, at neutral, the shaft travel is nice and smooth... now that would be cush...

Rock on, thanks for the additional input. My shocks just came in this morning. I am going to go check them out as soon as I get off work. I don't even have my truck yet... (should arrive in about 2-4 weeks) but I've got my Kings! Most of my driving will be on-road, but I live up in Alaska and there are tons of places to go play, and I will make time w/ the new truck. My initial plan is to leave the coilovers set the way they come from the factory. around 2 inches or so of lift... I believe. I want them just high enough to squeeze some 285/70/17's underneath. I'll post pics as soon as I get all the pieces in!

 

If the ride is too harsh maybe look into getting a different spring. I think the from the factory spring rates for Tacoma's are 650...maybe bump it down to 600 or even 550. That will give you a better ride for the street but for wheeling id think 650 would work out very well!

Are king and fox springs interchangable?

EDIT: looking on king's website they only have 500 and 600 they dont show a 650 or a 550.
