Better to buy Toyota TSB AAL or Other?

Got the Billstein 5100's on the way, and Would like to AAL in the rear, I'm at 38,500 miles on the button and Doubt toyota will honor the TSB (even though I have the 75k extended warrantee (truck is a 2008).

Should I just get the Toyota AAL and have the shop install that with the 5100's or should I be looking at other companies offerings? Would I be better off going with the OEM part - I have read some are not happy with Toytec's offering, what are some of the other ones out there, those are the only two I know of/read about other than doing complete leaf pack swaps.

Ahh - I was under the impression it was a AAL and not a complete pack swap.. Hmm - Time to do some searching.

 

So, anyone have the 1.5" 3 leaf progressive rate AAL from Wheelers off road, any comparison between the single leaf solution?

 

I got the 5100s all the way around and then got the TSB done in the rear and threw in one extra AAL for the increased height. Now everything sits level and looks great!

 

So, going up 1.5" in the rear end with the 5100's should be fine? Right? I'm not doing any rock crawling / high speed jaunts down major trails, going for the better stance, I like to play in the snow.

The overall goal was a modest 2" increase in ground clearance, so with the larger 265/70R17's and 1.5 inch (billsteins 5100's / 3 leaf progressive AAL) I should be sitting exactly like I want. Shocks are on the way, just gonna sit on it a day and do some more reading before pulling the trigger on the 3 Leaf AAL.

If you aren't under warranty then the TSB leafs are going to cost you $600 per side, at least that's what my dealer told me. I laughed in their face and walked out. I ended up getting the All-Pro 1.5" Leaf Springs from a member here for $200.
